Never heard of this beer … what's the brewery? Nevertheless a good price.
"…finishes with a dry, bitter taste."
Sounds great
its a lager
what did you expect
Here is one little bargain guru secret I share. Bring a mate along or organise a way to get home and cool it/consume it quickly.
If you plan to stock up ALOT on a 'special' item. Always only buy one first if it's your first time. This gives you the opportunity to assess whether the item is worth it or not, who knows? It may be 'DAMN THIS IS GOOD' and the next minute the checkout assistant is wondering why your bringing a wheelbarrow into the store. It might not be either and you'll be glad you only bought one!
This beer is probably as German as Fosters is Australian…..
its a german aldi lidl asda asbo whatever supermarket beer so expect to be lower in quality than oettinger and on the par with amstell mariner or that kind
still, at least its not VB or tooheys blue
Oettinger is a supermarket beer too - the biggest selling beer in Germany.
It is the VW Golf of beer, which is not a bad thing at all.
Fully agree … want to get a good german beer (cheap but quality) get the Oettinger …
Ohh Amsterdam Mariner, the memories…. I really enjoyed that beer in my poorer days.
Had a dutch friend who said he'd never seen the brand before, but looking at what town it was brewed in in the Netherlands said it was made by Grolsch.
