How noisy is it?
Does anyone know how to choose the quietest blu-ray player?Noise was no issue for me, can't recall any problems with it. Can't say I actively tuned in to hear the noise but it didn't provoke a reaction from me.
Starts Tomorrow - Ends 28 October
There is a huge difference between these players, the BD370 packs in a lot for the $90 more. Still, good price on the Sony if you don't care about DivX/XviD/MP4 or Profile 2.0 (which a lot of non savvy customers wouldn't mind).
RRP = AU$401 according to Lak-Hui (Lucky) GoldStar (not to be confused with the "Life's Good" slogan/backronym).: http://www.lge.com/au/tv-audio-video/video/LG-blu-ray-player…
I'm soooo tempted to launch into BlueRay with this unit…

Excellent Blu-ray player. I have tested playing 1080p MKV files from a USB thumb drive and it played flawlessly with subtitles too (I think!).
For $287, I reckon it's a good deal. Retail was $449 about 6~ months ago so not sure what they're worth now. Might have been a price drop so the price could be available from a few other retailers, ring around if you want.
Playback was brilliant, loaded discs very quickly too (as compared to BDP-S350, BDP1400 etc). Profile 2.0 support too.
