  • I have the X5-1.

Its fun to fly and steady.

Buy a couple of extra batteries because flight time is short.

  • Plus 2Mp Camera = $54.61

    http://lightake.com/p/Syma-X5C-4-Channel-2-4GHz-RC-Explorers…

I bought this one for the kids for Xmas. Camera didn't last 1 flight (no crash, but a hard landing.) Parts seem to be relatively common for the X5 (though the camera on its own is US$21.00).

  • How quick is shipping from these guys

    • took me exactly 1 month for delivery.

  • +2

I'd recommend this one instead http://www.gearbest.com/rc-quadcopters/pp_73260.html using code GBX5C to bring it down to $US 49.99. It includes camera which is fun sometime.

  • I've got one of the X5C-1 and love it. As an FYI if you're a Costco member they have an identical quad to X5C-1 (branded differently and with brown/black decals) for $69.99.

    • Bought the Costco version but mine was orange/black. I figured at this price it was only 5-10$ more than buying it overseas + Costco's generous lifetime warranty.

Flies much better without the camera and a little bit longer battery life. You're looking at 7-10 mins of flying time and trying to pick it out of trees.

      • Agreed, had I seen the Costco one first I would definitely have got that one. Always good to have local support and return options

      • extra 5-10$ is good to have a better warranty. You get no warranty at all from oversea seller

  • Shipping cost to Australia ?

    • +1

      delivery included in price.

    • Should fly/ship itself out ;-)

  • I have the syma great quad.the jjrc 8hc is better I have both, the jjrc with the led lights is very good for night time.

    • The Syma is a good quad the jjrc h8c is a good flyer but a money pit with motors that will die after very little flight time.

      • Love my Syma for the price but one of the propellors stopped working after about a week. Checking with Gearbest on support options but assume it will cost about the same to get a new one…

        • You can find tons of Syma parts for only a few dollars around the web. Google for the prop/motor and you're bound to find a replacement part for it. Gearbest has most of the stuff also so hopefully they'll help you out with a replacement part.

  • I crashed my x5c into a wall at speed. It lived. Amazed.
