$298 @ BigW currently. It also has been $241 at Myer and $288 previously @ TGG & Masters.

  • +5

Big W is $298 and $25 for home delivery. They don't offer free click and collect. So overall this is a much better offer.

    • +1

Ah okay didn't see that. Still awaiting on a deal like the Myer one.

    • +3

"Much better" hmm I would say slightly better. Like most people here I think it's worth waiting for better deal (like Myer)

  • +3

If we take the target ad to Masters, will they price match and beat it by 10%?

    • +1

For appliances Masters will only match the price.

      • They did a price beat on a fridge for me, but perhaps white goods are not appliances… Or they just wanted to sell it.

        • alot more margin on them mate.

        • @T1OOO:

true, though equally the amount of discount given is much higher too…

It was unexpected though as the Masters one included an exclusive bonus bar fridge which they still gave me. Sold that for $150 so effectively a further discount.

You can get this if you're a RACV member.
Sure you can get these easily from some where else, like the entertainment book.

  • -7

Masters do not have this model.

  • +1

Excuse my ignorance, does it come with the wall charging dock, like the one we see at the shops on display models?

    • +2

I think they all come with it

  • +14

The captions need to be changed, as this model released early 2011 and it isn't the most powerful cordless vacuum cleaner… Some people may jump onto this deal not knowing it has been superseded by newer models.

      • +7

Agreed that people should do their research but the distinction between different models of Dyson vacuums and different models of iPhones isn't fair.

      • I tried but can't find any model number. Where is it written?

        • DC35 is the model

        • @damion: Sorry mate, I wasn't clear, Bargainaholic wrote that this model was released in 2011. I assume that there would be newer DC35 model.
Dyson website selling this item as DC35 BLUE. Could that be the new model of DC35?
          https://www.masters.com.au/product/900049274/dyson-multi-flo…

        • @itsandhu:
I think they were just referring to the DC59 that is now available.
I'm pretty sure dyson doesn't do updates to the same model number.

  • What are reviews like? How long does it charge?
Not sure whether better to buy this or other dyson ones that have been on sale recently for same price.

    • +1

Scroll down the page on the Target site and read some reviews. Was interested in this deal but 10 minutes use is not enough before it needs a recharge.

  • may I ask whIch model is best for mattress dust mites?thanks

  • +1

I have a animal dc 59, compared to this, it's pretty weak as for picking up things, also short battery life.

    • +8

So compared to this your dc59 is weaker? Or is there a grammar error there

      • Haha.
        Bigger the number the better!

    • Yes, please elaborate more.
      Which is weaker?

Running time is mentioned in the below link, refer to page 4:
      https://www.masters.com.au/media/MASTERS/Media/static/produc…

    • Good comparison.
      http://www.infobarrel.com/DC35_Vs_DC59

Long story short, DC59 is better than DC35.

      • +1

So it should be for an additional $150 :/

        • :)

        • Is it available on target website as I am unable to locate it?

        • Yes it is. New one has much better suction and battery life. It was replaced for a reason.

  • Interesting… not that super cheap though?

  • +1

This is the low end model from their handstick range, better pay some more and get a higher end model which is more powerful and have better battery life.

  • +1

Own this and do not recommend. My friend said it seems like a glorified dustbuster and he is right - it is quite pissweak in standard operating mode.

    • +2

I find mine to be good. Good for floors and carpet. Not good enough to do a car. Although I paid $300 at Harvey Norman 2 years ago, so would expect the price of this model to be somewhat cheaper now.

Have upgraded to the top of the range DC 59 animal which is obviously considerably better. But it is also considerably more expenses.

I would say the DC35 is way better than a dustbuster. Your friend is being incredibly harsh. I always run it in boost mode and it is fine.

Note it is not designed for doing the whole house, just tidying up.

      • I agree. My friend is also happy with this.
I am planning to buy this just to do quick vacuum in the kitchen area. Can't be bothered to take out the other vacuum (dc59 animal pro), plug the power, and then vacuum.

  • +1

These are not really suited to vacuuming the entire house - more like a quick effective spot cleaner. They are ok for small apartments but they have the lowest suction rating of all the Dyson models at 65AW (using boost setting). For comparison the $999 DC54 has a suction rating of 290AW.

  • +1

DC59 for $370 just happy with that!

    • where?

    • Is that still available?! =O?

  • +1

Better to pay a few more dollars and get the DC45 http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Dyson-Handheld-Bagless-Vacuum-Cle…

  • Will someone post a DC59 Animal special please lol I missed the last one.

    • i just went into Target at Buranda in Brisbane. asked 1 guy to scan it for me. it came at full price. the chick in the next counter asked me "are you sure you didn't go to the USA website" - what an insult. had to show her the add on their website and even then she would not match the online click and collect price. thanks for wasting my time Target. never really bought anything from you guys, and it's looking like i never will.

      • You might need to buy it from their site select "Click and Collect" then print it and go to store to pick up.

      • Check the store tomorrow. They were only just putting out the Dyson stuff in the evening today. Usually the new catalogue starts Wednesday but the latest one is starting tomorrow.

  • i asked the chick how it works. she rekins u click and collect then they send it out to the store for you to collect. not their floor stock.

  • Have my dc 59 for least 4months now, can't be happier, battery life for turbo boost lasts only 6mins, and that's the power I need to suck up my cats fur. If only dysons could run turbo equivalent to normal model, then I won't need to touch my old corded vac.

    • Wow. My DC59 animal on boost mode from fresh charge lasted me at least 15 mins. You need to check it out with Dyson.

Btw: I never use non-boost mode because I like to feel the power. :)

      • 6 mins because cat fur is devil-sprouts.

  • Free delivery if you buy from their the Target ebay store:
