And you sound like a fool ;)
@Loveshk: wanna borrow my glasses?
@holden93: No thanks u need it more then me .
@Loveshk: I'm not the one making smart ass comments about how they don't see something.
@ujwols: That's still store pick up not delivered but still bargain
I didn't realise $298 was the same as $248.
to each his own, but $248 here too

Yeah I saw that after I posted haha, but I think my point was still valid that it's not $248 everywhere haha.
True, but not the delivered price.
Ok so Harvey Norman also has the same price.. Anywhere else?
I mean you state its EVERYWHERE. 1 retailer other retailer is EVERYWHERE
calm down
That's the same as Harvey Norman.
And its $257 delivered
Try apple store, Myers, Dick Smith, JB Hi-Fi and Big W and you will find its considerably more.
@didsburydan: look guys he said he was wrong… Enough with the negs
Good price considering Apple Refurb store is $259, but looks like same price @ Harvey Norman.
This is the 1st Generation iPad Mini model released in 2012.
Some notes:
* Non-Retina Display (1024x768 pixels)
* Same processor and performance as the iPad 2 and iPhone 4.
* Does supports iOS8, however it seems likely that support may be dropped when the new OS is released later this year.
only guy who gets it ^^^
these arent even rated for kids to use at school
iOS 8 slowed my iPad mini down significantly :(
Hmm I am surprised the iPad mini received the iOS 8 update. My iPhone 4 is already slow enough with iOS 7 installed.
My grandma has one of these, they work well and are good for basic tasks like emails and messaging. The size and portability are great too, just a pity about the low screen resolution.

Reading that just shows you how much of a ripoff the iPad mini's are.
If the mini was $99 I still wouldn't buy one.
According to what you linked.. The iPad Mini is by far the most powerful tablet in its class thats currently available.
Not really, the shield scores around 57k in Antutu and costs a lot less. Its by far the most powerful 8 inch tab on the market.
Anyway at $248 this isn't a bargain by any stretch of the imagination. The retina model was around this price a few months back, albeit you had to get it forward from the US, but still a lot better option than this.
Let me just get into my time machine…
But I agree, it had its day, but if you want to run iOS 8, it's junk. Don't upgrade it and it will be fine. Don't compare it to a Retina display iPad and it will be fine.
Save up more for a Retina display with decent specs. Or buy a cheap Android.
I had one, upgraded to the mini 2. Worth the extra for screen (not just res, better tech / design) and cpu.
Not enough ram to flip between apps well.
nm
Do not buy this gen 1 ipad mini. i owned one and it was too slow after upgraded to IOS 8.
$250 for a 16gb tablet that came out in 2012? gee that apple "logo" must mean a lot to some people
It's an okay deal if you're just going to use it as a ebook reader or web browser. The issue is with its ageing processor which may not get the next major iOS update.
This is probably better value if you were just going to be doing light stuff like that
I wouldn't use it as an ebook reader with a non-retina display.
office works site has been down for a few hours.
Back up - no new products. That's an inside joke for all us old Apple watchers.
Any deal on Ipad Mini 2?
Where is the expansion slot, sim card slot, HDMI port, GPS and micro usb on these?
In a few years when apple announces their new features
A friend said she wanted the iPad mini 3, I read it was just the same as the mini 2 plus a fingerprint scanner, and told her to get the mini 2 instead. Was I right? I prefer Android and PC for myself so I'm not very clear on Apple stuff.
The cheapest I've found the 16G iPad mini 2 is at Dick Smith for $368, which I think could be price matched (+5% off) at Officeworks for $350, does anyone have a better deal? Also, do Apple products usually go on sale at the start of the school year?
Check out gumtree, I just picked up a 16GB Mini 2 a couple of days ago for $280, perfect condition with all original accessories and box.
Good if you want good battery life, thats about it…
Still thinks that each ios slows down older units to encourage you to purchase a newer iPad/iPhone, smart scummy move Apple…
They should be able to make a stable version for older devices, I'm sure that shouldn't be to much work for Apple. They allow you to install anything onto any device, even after its slowi they should patch it again to make it faster, not to mention, they'd state newest updates will make your device run better, that's not true In fact it as it slows older devices.
f**** apple
Its not only older devices though, like my iPad air 2 runs poorly running games like nba 2k15. The game is unplayable even on the Air 2, I'd hate to see what games like that run on older hardware.
Expired?
