    Good to see the prices of UHD come down a lot. I still don't believe there is enough content to justify the purchase though. Good for future proofing

      Netflix is nearly here and promising 4K.

        It's just not available here (yet), and honestly I doubt using a VPN is gonna be fast enough for 4K.
        Also considering most people in Australia are on ADSL and ADSL2+, they are not quite fast enough for 4K. (Including slower NBN plans like 12 and 25mbps)

        • Luckily I am on FTTB. Which I am sure will be fast enough for 4K.

          If tpg is allowed to continue its roll out it could improve for those apartment dwellers.

          That's true, I'm on FTTB as well, but that won't really change the fact for VPN unfortunately, if the VPN connection is crap then nothing can help.
          We can only wait for something like Netflix to be available for Australia.

          Why are you guys talking about VPN services? Netflix will be available to Aus users March 31, so wont need a VPN to access netflix (unless you want to access the US/other country libraries)

          And besides, dont use a VPN, use a DNS rerouter, it wont gimp your connection for flix streaming (getflix/unblockus)

  • I've just ordered the Sony for collection, fingers crossed it works. For delivery it does say in stock until you go to postage then it says can't find the product in inventory, so it isn't in stock. I've got a feeling it won't be for collection either.

      I would say no to this, 3 months consume 1/3 of its life

        • What I meant is that you will spend almost 600 bucks on a second hand and discontinued model, consider the Price trend of non-4k TV, it's better to wait for a better deal.

  • Price on the 47" won't come down for me in my cart. I called the Southland store and the guy I spoke to was under the impression that $693 is the discounted price.

    Suggest you choose pick up at store if possible. If you choose free delivery, just be aware that some of us are having issue with DJ not being able to provide definitive delivery date and some times delivery turn up at your door steps without notice. See below for more details.

        • I just called 1800 354 663 and the nice lady told me another person just called about this 47" TV and confirmed the deal is under review and can't be ordered. :(

  • Just to confirm, nothing at all happened with this. I called Bourke Street and they said it was a 'system error'.

    • Yeah I got a call from them. It was a system error so the price shown was meant to be the reduced price but early on we were getting another 15% off in cart. I went off in my email to them and they called me and offered the TV @ The special price plus an extra 15% off

        • Nah I didn't order cause I didn't need one, this was just to find out info for this post.
          I would call the Number given in post to check up on where your order is and make sure it's in the process of delivery :)

      • I'm going to go off in an email for sure. They have been a nightmare with me. not one thing I have ordered from them has been in stock, yet they have charged me immediately and I have had to contact them to find out it isn't happening!

        This time they charged me, then claimed they had refunded me the full amount (instead of the 15% off amount) and then have chased me relentlessly for me to pay the difference despite the fact no refund has shown up in my account! I'm just $600 down and receiving a daily call!
