I was really surprised about this, as ZUJI are meant to included all fees. They are adding a "Payment and Service fees (Air New Zealand Flights) $12.50" to all AirNZ flights once you are on the final payment page.
I'll contact them about this.

Any deal on MEL-YVR in Jun? Possible stop over at SF. The cheapest I could find was about $1700.. meh.
June is high season so you probably won't find any deals until a couple months out.
May is shoulder season so if you leave in May and come back in June you should get a better price.
