  • wtf why all flight sales during school dates? ***** YOU ALL FLIGHT DEALS

    • -1

and usually the best deals are the start of Feb, when school starts. No Fair!

      • +5

        Fair? They're $20 flights! TWENTY.

        • +2

bloody hell, hope thats return and not one way then!

  • Tue and Wed during school terms.

Slowly getting closer to the price I'd pay to fly Tiger!

  • Can't book day trip. Depart flight is in afternoon and return flight is in the day. Cairns > BNE and return. :(

  • Do a $2 return from Sydney to Perth for September school holidays then I may think of booking with them (or price match with Jetstar). LOL

    • I recently paid $185 PER > SYD and $1 return for September 2015.
Not sure if those fares are still available but still a good bargain.

      • +1

        That is a good deal!

Cheapest I've found so far is $350 with this mob & over $400 with Jetstar.

      • damn! which airline was that?

  • thank you for posting!

Does anyone have problems with price beating with Jetstar twice? They beat the first leg, then when I tried to do the return leg it says I'm not eligible. Cleared cookies but I think they prevent the same IP from price beating twice?

I ended up buying the second leg from Tiger…

    • Does Jetstar fly within an hour of the Tiger flight you were trying to price match? If its outside of the hour this would make the price beat ineligible.

      • yeah it's within the hour timeframe. tiger leaves sydney for brisbane at 18:05 and jetstar at 18:25. meh. just tried again and it still didn't work.

Regardless, I'm looking forward to go to sydney! I've booked to adelaide and cairns as well. Never been to these places before. Gonna be a fun august!

Still plenty of seats left BNE-SYD, early august BNE-ADL (but not the other way around), BNE-DRW both ways all gone.

  • Tiger are crap never again. I had flights booked to go from Brisbane to Sydney on 29th January. I booked earliest flight at 6.10 am as it was to get to my connecting flight leaving Sydney at 12.30 pm…Well about a month ago i got an email saying due to some requirements my flight had been changed and new arrival time to Sydney was about 1 hour before my connecting flight at the International terminal.
No way was i going to make that flight so only option was to change to night before leaving me to wait 17 hours at Sydney airport between flights. And as the new flight they offered me on the same day as my flight was within 4 hours of my original flight they would not offer credit or refund .So i lost my money and booked with Jetstar…..
And the story don't end there ,on my return flight from Sydney to Brisbane i got another email a week later saying that had been changed OMG again but this time it was just outside the 4 hours they allow so i got a refund and went with Jetstar.

    • "And as the new flight they offered me on the same day as my flight was within 4 hours of my original flight they would not offer credit or refund"

I'd be doing a credit card dispute. They've sold you a service then changed it to something you can't possibly use. Unacceptable.

      • How do i do a credit card dispute mate.

        • Have a look at your bank's website. Usually there will be instructions for unauthorised purchases on the card. If you did not receive a service you paid for, that qualifies for a chargeback. You can't use what they replaced your originally purchased service with.

For example the website for NAB is here:
          http://www.nab.com.au/personal/credit-cards/manage-your-cred…

I'd be surprised if Tiger Air think that changing the flight times wouldn't qualify for a refund immediately. Have you tried contacting Tiger Air direct? It might be quicker. If they argue that the terms and conditions specify being able to completely alter the times of flight within four hours of booking time, point out that it's an unfair condition under Australian law, which should void it. I can't think of anybody who would agree that changing the flight time to one that interferes with your schedule is reasonable. Unforseen delays that change the time of departure are understandable, as it's out of their control, but when they email you ahead of schedule with no option for a refund, it's not acceptable.

Pity Tiger is the worst airline in Australia.
Booked a flight from sydney-melbourne to arrive at 10.30. The flight didn't arrive in sydney until 12.30 so I didn't arrive till mid-afternoon, losing a whole day. It's lucky I'd arranged to arrive the day before the convention I was flying for.
    Tiger's apology was a $5 maccas voucher.

    • Here's our story from another post:
Mrs has had 2 flights delayed by more than a couple of hours without notice, and 2 flights cancelled the night before flying in the morning. It takes approx 6 weeks to get your refund from Tiger, and if you change flights they still want to charge you the difference. They're also not interested if you have a conference center booked and 40+ paying customers expecting your arrival costing you in excess of $12k! Even at $0-$10, we're not interested in flying with them again!!!
Oh, and if you have kids under 2 they charge you a $30 supplement! (No other local carrier does!)
