LED Tree Lights - 2.5m Tall Lytworx Lights for $50 (Was $199) - Bunnings Nationwide

170

First post from me.
Not sure how long this deal will be on for or if it's just an ongoing price reduction. Went to Bunnings today and they had a whole pile of the 2.5m LED trees marked down from $199 to $50 with a 'special' sticker. Also had the 1.8m ones for $25 (I'd previously paid $69 for these). The Bunnings website now lists this as the price but doesn't indicate if it's a special or not - but given their previous pricing, I'd assume so.
They had plenty of stock in my local store Bunnings, Moonah, Tas) - but it wasn't in the usual spot, it was a specials stand out the front.
Now my 4yo daughter's "fairy garden" is complete…

Here's a photo of the one I bought with the price tag attached.

I'll have to search for the receipt in the boot!

from your photo it does not appear to be even worth $50.

  • That looks awesome - I would love one for my front yard - thanks for posting the photo

Kmart has the 1.2m for $19… http://www.kmart.com.au/product/low-voltage-led-twig-tree---… As such I doubt very much that the 2.5m would ever sell for $199

  • It definitely previously sold for $199 - I know because I looked at them a few months ago and thought "huh, that's not worth $199". So instead I bought two of the $69 1.8m ones and bolted them together to make a ~2.3m one.
But the 2.5m one is definitely superior to my frankentree - the branches are longer, for a start.
I've seen the short k-mart one and oh my god it is rubbish - the LEDs have these awful little plastic balls around them that just look 'cheap'.
To the extent that anything that serves no useful purpose has a value, I'd say these trees are definitely more valuable than their $50 price tag.
I also own some of the light trees from Dealsdirect ($49 bonsai) and oo.com.au (cherry tree, willow tree, each $70 or so) and this is certainly at least as good as those.

    • Any idea how much the 2400LED version was a few months ago ? It's $199 now, would hate to think how much they charged before.

      • No, can't remember sorry
$199 for a 2400 led tree is pretty good pricing, I must say. Can't justify it though…

  • No stock at rouse hill.

  • Harrisdale WA is cleaned out of pretty much all Xmas lighting as of this morning

  • I just grabbed the last one from Hawthorn Vic. Checked Eltham this morning and they had none, their system said box hill did but I called and the guy confirmed none. I paid $129 in late Nov so will return this one on the original receipt, $79 back in my pocket, thanks Op, feels like Christmas!
