Lumia 735 for 298 is pretty solid but tgg isn't on the Microsoft Coles card offer so you will need to get HN of someone else to match it

    • I think Dick Smith would be better for the 735, its $309 with a coupon. Plus you get a Lumia 530, Optus $30 Sim and the $100 Coles card.

This is the super slow USB drive.

    • +2

Yes - they're rubbish. Do yourself a favour and spend some more for a USB 3 drive.

Why do I get the feeling this would be perfect for an in-car mp3 player?

    • +3

      It would be…

Just set aside an hour to fill it up and you should be right :-)

    DC58 Animal $315 seems decent, as there's free in-store pick-up if it's in stock near you…

Just putting it out there, if you get these disks to make Windows installation disks, it is different from normal USBs. Basically it acts differently to other USBs and they get recognised as fixed, instead of removable. I vaguely remember it being possible, I've done it. I have 8gb one that I bought for the purpose of Windows 8 installation, and I managed to get it working. Though I don't think the program supplied by MS was able to do it, I had to get the ISO file from MS and do it using 3rd party program.

Yeap.. Just use Rufus.. it's a great iso->usb creation tool, and best of all it works on all versions of windows.

  • I've got a 8GB version of this.

It was so slow writing to it, I had to double check it wasn't a USB 1 stick! lol

However it's probably the smallest and best looking flash drive I own. I really shouldn't use the word 'flash' as that would imply it's anything other than pedestrian in speed.

    • I think it may be the luck of the draw, I have 2 of the 8GB and average about 9-9.5 MB/s in write speed, yes in the USB 2 port. But, the Sandisk Ultra 16GB I have averages 4.5 MB/s in the USB 3 port.

  • I have the exact same USB, usually I'm just copying Word documents and it copies them fast enough. However, when I try to copy movies or larger files it takes a long time. IMO, this should really only be used for documents, moving around other things takes way too long.

  • Code only applies $0.90 discount. Can anyone help? Price is 8.10

They have put the price up to $9 each now. … They were $8!

  • Showing $8 for me

    • +1

Back to $8 again.. Man. These guys..

      • Check back this afternoon, and back up to 9 again. =(

        • The $8 price is part of their tech frenzy sale that runs from 7pm to 7am I think, not sure how long they have this on for..
