Lost in translation, it's still Android, just a tweaked UI.
Personally… these specs suck badly. A Y550 is about half the price and the same if not better. Unless there is something I've missed.
Clearly you do not own a Y550, the lost cousin of the $35 tablet.
Actually I do and am quite impressed with it. Can't destroy the thing.
I only paid $80 and it handles all I need to do very well… would of paid an extra $20 for 8GB of on-board storage though. That's the only letdown I know of.
Lost how?
Personally I would be much more worried about the version of Android than anything else, it is a definite downside to this device (which I know nothing else about).
It's 'lost' because THEIR TRANSLATOR IS NOT VELLY GOOD!!!
ColorOS is NOT, I repeat NOT an operating system!!! It is a SKIN. It is a FLAVOUR, it is a VERSION of Android. The manufacturers take Android and put their own UI into it. That's ALL it is!
All android phones are BASED ON a version of Android unless it a nexus or Google Play Edition.
Samsung has Touchwiz, HTC has Sense, OPPO has ColourOS

Why even bother making screens at such a low resolution.
Yes low res.
this does not seem very good value :( . That res on that size screen would be a bit horrible, and the rest of specs seem nothing special for the $
top chinese brand
Oppo are a brand that are known for producing some simply outstanding devices and appliances but I think they failed to do that in this particular case.
they do have some very nice phones at reasonable prices.
about time.. but yeah prices aren't competitive
Not that good of a price. The Oppo Find 7A for instance, is $629 whereas the LG G3 was as low as $484 from The Good Guys.
Which is why the Oneplus One is a much better buy, as either the 16 Gb or 64 Gb versions. (From DWI with CyanogenMod installed).
WOW,finally Oppo started their business officially in Australia?!
