IUNI is a Xiaomi competitor.
This looks like a pretty decent phone for the money. Specs wise, it's about the same as a LG G2 but in a smaller size, powered with Snapdragon 800, packing 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal ROM, a 16mpx camera and a full HD 1080p 4.7" IPS display.
It appears to run its own unique ROM called IUNI OS (claimed to be free of bloatware) and there are download links below.
The weakest link however is that it doesn't do LTE and has dual band 3G only — 900 and 2100mhz, so it's not exactly Telstra or Voda friendly. This phone does not have Dual Sim slots.

If the Xiaomi Note was not what you're after than this may be a good alternative.
No 850Mhz 3G, so not ideal on Telstra or Vodafone
