I've been looking to upgrade my 40" TV for a while. Could anyone recommend the LG 55" mentioned here for this price? I was hoping to get something on boxing day sales but would it actually get any cheaper?

So the major differences between LG 55LB6500 and the LG 50LB5610 is that 6500 is 5"inch bigger and have smart+3D features?

The 6500 has Webos, Magic remote, 100hz and freeview, the 5610 has none of those

Went into my local store (as eBay is showing stock but not letting me add it to my cart). There is stock, but they cannot honour the price and the discount is covered by a rebate from eBay. They won't price match, so the only option is to call eBay as this is an error on their site. On the phone with eBay - after a lot of explaining and also getting the helpline to replicate the problem, I get told that they can't help me and will report the problem to their technical department for resolution in 24-72 hours. She also thanked me for choosing eBay!!!

we went shopping for tvs on sat on saw the lgs side by side. the 3d upscales the picture quality. it's much better viewing. bought one today. the guy at the store on sat even showed us hiw to adjust pic for optimal viewing. all set up now and brilliant. for $100 extra i can recommend tge 3D model. it also comes with 4 pairs of 3d glasses.
