Samsung UA55HU7000 + Samsung HW-H751 Soundbar for $1722 Delivered (after $300 Cashback) @ Big Brown Box

60

Thanks to all for the help thus far (TRENT86 especially), so I think for a 55" UHD Series 7 Sammy, with their best soundbar (with wireless sub) and cashback, this is one of the best deals going (at the moment at least). Cashback deal runs until Christmas Eve (24 Dec 2014)

Went to JB HiFi this morning and the sales guy could only get the 55" UHD down to $1630, and the soundbar to $620 ($2250 total)

  • If I was looking for a TV about this size, I would instantly buy. 7 series Samsung, 4K and soundbar for this price is pretty good.

  • Prices are the same at AppliancesOnline (same company)

    • Thanks, interesting!

Don't forget cash back of about $16 :)

  • Could have waited till tomorrow and purchased both items from the Good Guys Ebay store

    • What's the deal they are offering tomorrow? You still need to pay postage or pickup yourself. TV is the same price, but soundbar is $60 more.

      • https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/170606. Would work out a little cheaper even if you include delivery. You might even have been able to claim the price difference on the soundbar under their 30 day price guarantee.

        • Bugger! Oh well, there's always the chance they will jack the price before tomorrow. Would Samsung honour Ebay as a retailer or The Good Guys/Appliances Online as per their cashback criteria?

@TRENT86: Only way to know for sure is to check with Samsung.

This deal by WNK https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/157333 had similar T&Cs with reference to ebay purchases being excluded, but claims were paid without issue.

If you purchase from TGG ebay store, you will be issued with the same type of receipt as if you had made an in store purchase, and the main thing is that the purchase is from a participating retailer, which TGG are.

        • @unity1:

wonder if samsung will have call centre over the weekend.. will try tomorrow morning..

  • Hi I'm at tgg now looking to buy a new tv. Around 60" for <$1500. Should I wait for eBay tomorrow? What's happening tomorrow? Was hoping for black dr ideals but there were none.

    • wait till tomorrow if you just want the TV it's 20% off ebay big retailers like TGG and DSE. Starts 10am

      • Thank you!

      • Except the maximum amount off is $200. Still, better than nothing! Though the eBay prices seem higher than store

  • Pretty good price. I got the smaller ones. Got UA50H7000W for $1180 and HW-H551 soundbar for $330, total $1210 after $300 cashback.

    • Uhmmm H7000 or HU7000?

      • UA50HU7000W, but it was a display unit..

  • Anyone know how many hz? couldn't find online…also, should i care about hz?

Clear motion 200 is equivalent to 100Hz.

    Ref: http://www.rtings.com/info/fake-refresh-rates-samsung-clear-…

Next step up is clear motion 800 in HU7200 or HU8000. Equivalent to 200Hz.

Its a personal thing. For movies to reduce judder by letting tv make up slightly blurry intermediary framrs vs watching exactly what is on the media.
For gaming the more the merrier but more important to get 60+ so 100 is good. The bump to 200 won't give you as much obvious difference.

    Solely my opinion.

I am more concerned about Samsung designed to fail longevity than hertz…

    • Thanks for the response mate!

  • With the ebay links it seems cant buy extended warranty…so that concerns me more.

  • Those that bought one care to share review of tv?
