Now this is a good deal! Better than all those apple tv deals posted at almost full rrp on a device nearly 3 years old. lol

  • Should i get this or the stick version?

  • I have three apple tv's set up around house what does this do the apple tv cant and will this not be 110v? With usa plug

    • USA Plug but 110v-240v switching power supply, I have LT and other models. You just need a travel adaptor. Unless they have changed something recently…

I bought 2 LT's today as spares if my current ones stop working.

I think the last two I bought only had 110V printed on the power supply. I never tried them though on 240V. I had a couple of 12VDC power supplies lying around which I chopped the ends of and soldered on the plug that came with the Roku LT. A bit of mucking around, but they work great.

You should never throw out good power packs from other dead devices. Never know when they could come in handy. But I'm like that with a lot of things :)

  • After watching this review I'm non the wiser. Does this allow free viewing of all channels? (no subscription required?) And does it work here in AU?

NVM, got answer here, free and paid.

  • Any deals on the top of the line model?

  • +1

Well I bought a Chromecast just to see what it does. May as well add this.

    • yeah i got a chromecast… still in its box, impulse buy…

      • I unplugged mine. Every time I turned on my display cabinet my TV asked if I wanted to switch to the HDMI input the Chromecast was on (same powerboard)

My TVs are networked so Chromecast maybe redundant here but think I'll be able to use it in my GF's bedroom. She's got my first LCD - No tuner and 1 HDMI

  • Are all the free and paid channels available here with no geological restrictions?

You need to setup a dns server like getflix. Roku is a little bit more complicated to do but it is very worth it.
