I recently signed up for the free "My Dan Murphy's" card and received in the mail a Free voucher to redeem either 2 x 50ml Johnnie walker black label or 6 bottles of Crown golden ale or 1 bottle of McGuigan The brothers Shiraz at any physical store.

The small print says limited to one gift per member for the first 40,000 members.

Edit: As per this comment there is no bar code on the voucher so people without the voucher have been able to collect the freebie because after their Dan Murphy's card was scanned, the items were reduced to $0.

      Manager was very nice, had to wait a while and was very apologetic, assured me that the deal was legitimate and honored the free beer.

      I'm in NSW and this was at the rouse hill store

          no, I didn't have the voucher but I showed the the OP's attachment.
          The manager went to check the offer and read the deal etc and said it should work, just a glitch on my card maybe..

          Yeah, wasn't sure of the exact location but it's right near Rouse Hill.

    I've got my card yesterday, redeemed same day. No issues. Price of 6-pack went down to $0 when card was scanned. I am in Melbourne.

    Alright guy this is what happened to me. They scanned the 6 pack and my card and it was still showing the same price. Then the manager came and he had a piece of paper with him they need to scan that piece of paper as well for the deal to go down to 0.01 and they they give you the beer. Hope this helps

    didnt have the brochure, scanned the card/iphone app and then the beer, didn't work…then he cancelled the order and tried it again, worked second time, balance came to zero.

    atleast I get to try that new crown flavour for free…

      yep scored a 6 pack at the Bull Creek store tonight. The lady scanned it then I asked her to scan my card and nothing happened. I told her I had received something in the mail to say its free and she said "yep no probs" and redid the transaction manually.

        I called customer service a few times this afternoon and was told that we just need to scan our card in-store for the free beer. I called into our local store and they scanned the card but it didn't remove the price. They had to call over a manager but it ended up sorted and we now have our free six-pack.

    Worked at Holland Park, Brisbane. Didn't have the voucher and the lady says 'I'm pretty sure there is no offer on these' and I asked her to scan my card anyway.
    It went down to $0 and she's goes 'alright enjoy!'.

    Didn't even have my physical yet, just scanned the temporary one from the Dan's android app.

    sort of worked for me, assistant called manager I got 1 x White Rabbit 1 x James Squire and 1 x Crown scanned at $39.80 then I said take crown off and the MGR came over I explain deal and he took the crown off the price and gave it to me for free anyway!

      Same deal here. I showed them a photo of the deal on my phone at Oakleigh (VIC) Dan Murphy's and they rightly pointed out I could redeem the deal multiple times in this way.

      No hard copy = no free beer.

        I haven't got my membership card in the mail yet, but have the app on my phone which shows membership card. I went to my local Dan Murphy's this arvo and was talking to one of the staff members, mentioned about the flyer for free 6 pack of Crowns for members and he new all about it. Did not need the voucher with me. Was able to purchase/obtain 6 pack for $0.00. Also grabbed a bottle of Irish Cream for $11.00 instead of $21.00. Husband went to same store when he finished work and he also got 6 pack for free, without having voucher, just showed his membership details on the app. (located out in the hot sunburnt Country NSW)

        By what I can tell, the offer when redemed links to your membership and you are only able to obtain it the once.

        Seeing the continued success of others and noting all that is required as per the voucher is to present your card, I tried again.

        Scanning the card didn't mark down the price and the cashier was a bit confused, but let me take it regardless.

        As crappy as I expect this beer to be, if at first you don't succeed try another Dan Murphy's!

    Worked fine with no voucher at Dan Murphys Balga, WA. Assistant scanned the six pack, came up $19.40, she scanned my card, came up with "Voucher $0.01", she pressed a few buttons and total came down to $0.00 and I was on my way, no problem. There were a lot of others there getting their free Crown six pack and they were running low on stock.

    doesn't work any more. signed me and the wife up today and used the app to scan the digital card. didn't make the beer coat $0. manager said too bad it is an automated process and they won't adjust it to free as there was no proof I didn't already redeem it.

      Try again. As far as I can tell, when freebie is put against your membership it will only let you get it the once. Both I and hubby got ours using app, they had to manually enter our membership details.
