I had a look at them today and they do say they turn on and off the device.
I nearly bought a couple for the kids minis then i wondered if these should be under $10.
Thanks… you can get similar covers from aussie sellers on ebay for about $8 with a stylus and screen protector, whether the quality is similar Im not sure.
Edit: Just bought one on ebay for my older iPad 3, so lets see.
wife got a couple for the kids ipad air 2…they do the job and have the smart function.
Bought these and confirm much better quality than generic ebay shipped from China ones. It mimics the original apple design foldable smart cover but fully encased on the rear which i prefer as it is better protected.
I bought 1 for my mini retina (which fits perfectly like a glove) and is great quality - and this was to replace the original apple leather case which got pretty grubby!
The other one I bought for my new iPad Air 2 was returned today when I realised it was designed for the older Air, ie. camera cutout not perfectly aligned and also I think the thinner Air 2 made it a bit loose fitting. Almost decided to keep it though, given the great quality and good value.
The case I got from ebay arrived yesterday, on sale for $8.05 from an aussie seller so quick to arrive. Fits my ipad 3 perfectly and nice quality, I got the grey model with clear back. Smart cover compatible and came with a screen protector and a stylus. I think it goes up in price to 8.95 in a few hours (scandalous).
Saw this in their cattledog earlier today. No mention of whether they have smart cover function??
