Hey,
Well i bought this laptop (the HP version) from america 2 months, which included 64 bit operating system aswell as free upgrade to windows 7, for 700$AUD. However, I found this laptop at officeworks which is pretty similar to the US version, minus the 64bit operating system.
Anyway, I think this is one of the best deals out there for a laptop to use for study, movies etc. No high graphics games obviously as it doesnt have a dedicated graphics card. However it is 15.6inch wide screen, 4 gig ram (with a 32 bit operating system), not sure if it elligible for the windows 7 upgrade but meh. The CPU is t4200 coreduo, which is better then any celeron/athlon cpu's you get with laptops that are this cheep.
I have used mine for last 2 months no problems, perfect for web browsing / normal things.
Not sure if you can haggle at officeworks, but even at 750$ pretty decent laptop
Mod - edited title.
Not too shabby, quite a respectable little laptop for the money! IIRC the T4200 CPU's are penryn core so should run 64bit OS just fine, then you can use all of the 4GB RAM! :)
You might want to change this bit though, "No games obviously as it doesnt have a hardrive." since it's got a 160GB HDD; and the embedded 4500MHD will, in addition to HD video, allow for some older/rudimentary gaming! ;)
