      I paid $150 a few months back. Myer had it for $199, got a price match from David Jones online, combined it with the spend $200 get $50 Amex credit deal. Added on a $2 calendar to the purchase and voila!

    how much better is the soundlink III compared with the soundlink mini? the $120 difference is sweetened by the amex $50 cash back and i'm tempted to got for the soundlink III if it is much better. portability is not an issue either since i plan to put it in our living room.

      I've got both the Soundlink Mini and the Soundlink III. Both are amazing speakers. Is the III worth $120 more?

      If I did a blind listening test separately on separate days, I would be hard pressed to tell the difference between the two, other than the extra bass that the III offers. If I had to keep only one of them, of course I would go with the III - but I already have both. Your milage may vary. Dunno if this is helpful.

    Got me curious about the Bose SoundLink Mini Bluetooth Speaker so went to inspect in store at lunchtime and it is very impressive indeed. Hard to imagine such big clear sound from such a small device. I'm guessing the shear weight of it must assist with solid sound reproduction. Nice way to utilise the battery whose weight might otherwise be considered a disadvantage. Be good for instant/portable party. I was tempted.

    Anyone too poor for the Bose should know Logitech speakers are 25% off (or were still earlier this week). I paid $80 for the Logitech X-300 (worse battery life, better sound than mini-boom) and it's now $63. They had stock at Castle Hill Office works earlier in the week. They won't compete with the Bose but they're great for 1/3rd the price.
