It's not the code that's wrong, Xbox Live itself won't let me redeem it successfully. Tried on my One, on my Xbox 360, and on PC. The code is unredeemed, it just won't fully redeem because Xbox keeps saying it's an error.
At $45.25 => $36.20, this 12-month one actually works out to be slightly cheaper by almost a dollar ;)

I ordered this one and the code came through within a few mins and it was redeemed successfully on my console.
I used this one and they then sent me an email from "Online-Gold ebay <[email protected]>" with a link asking for my phone number so they can call me and verify.
I'm a little skeptical. Anyone else get that?
I used my wife's paypal account instead of my own, so I guess this is why they need to verify. I gave them a phone number and they can't call our country, so now require my drivers license as ID.

Very annoyed.
bought two, paid with paypal, get email to verify phone number (which doesn't verify), get email to handover complete identity ;)
have contacted them on ebay asking why they want id, they have my paypal details - send the codes or i'll raise a dispute, cancel the order and leave negative feedback…

Same here. When they send the code they should also send an Ebay email saying that the item is sent/posted. I'm guessing they're just struggling with demand right now.

Are people sure this code work? I still can't seem to redeem mine on the site or on either of my Xbox consoles, still keep getting an error message - while others are saying they redeem it fine. It's still recognised as valid and unused, but when I try to process the redemption it tells me "something went wrong".
I don't have issue redeeming mine. Only issue I have is I can't download the Free Gold Games. It keeps charging me $19.99. Something must be wrong with the Microsoft site.
Try downloading from the console itself. Purchasing on the website requires a Paypal/ Credit Card account to be attached (IIRC).

I'm very wary. A lot of the negative feedback says that they ask for photo Id such as drivers license? One said he was asked for a Visa. Most of the complaints seem to be for FIFA coins.

I wouldn't take the risk in delaying the redemption. I didn't want to redeem this until early January, but will do so as soon as the code arrives, for safety's sake.
You surely have within the window of a PayPal dispute to hold off? 45 days.

i am new to xbox live. i just loaded 12 months on do i have to wait to load another 12 months once it runs out or can i load on now and it adds on to my 12 making it 24???????
It will add the time to your existing, you won't lose or 'overwrite' anything.

Yes. But I think my problem has to do with the fact that if you remove an existing payment option while you have an active subscription and try to redeem a pre-paid subscription (like I'm doing), MS blocks you out from doing so until your current active subscription expires.
hmm not sure on this one mate, i've been able to successfully stack several pre-paid ones in advance, and it just extends out the expiration date - either way i hope you get it sorted out!
It's not a problem with stacking, it's that I removed my payment option while having an active subscription, and then MS locking out my ability to redeem another pre-paid subscription until the current one expires. It's a stupid rule.

Just got my email. Was a bit freaked out because I had to access a website to get to my redeem codes, any other time I've got codes from ebay they email me the codes directly.

12+1 code arrived about 4 hours after I ordered. Worked like a charm and included Halo 4 emblem code.
Long time user, first time poster. Can confirm my code redeemed fine on the xbox website and stacked with my previous prepaid period. Email with instructions for grabbing code via the external site came a few mins after payment so that was great.
Did get another email asking for ID verification which was weird but seems I can ignore that.

what kind of number did you enter? am in perth so have tried 08, as well as 8, followed by my phone number, keep getting invalid code, click continue and then get the email asking for address and photo id etc..
The email with instructions had the following three set of numbers to enter on the site:

Didn't have to enter any phone number. I entered on my mobile at the site http://www.ibaycode.com and was able to get the scan of the code to show.

Bought this and at time of checkout it said around 42 dollars, check my paypal statement and 52 was taken out, WTF?
Also seller claimed the code was emailed to me but still don't have it.
EDIT: just saw there is another transaction putting the discount back into my account.
Don't panic. Check the funding source on the transaction in Paypal. You'll find 20% is not from your bank account or credit card.

Paypal states $51.95 but only $41.56 has been taken out of my bank account. I received my email within 2 hours of making my purchase and have also received my code by following the instructions. Wholesalersmates just sent me an email confirming whether I received the email to redeem my code.
Check the detail of the transaction. The rest of the money came out of the discount code as the funding source.

However when i enter it into Microsoft, it says the coupon is only valid for 12 months? how do I get the extra 1 month of Membership Card?
