        • @salem: I agree, especially on the charging speeds. It isn't an advertised feature (as in the Find 7), so I was quite shocked when I noticed how quickly it charges.

I have this phone in the 64gb, would very much recommend this. Its a 5.5 inch phone, so its not a phablet. I use this phone 1 handed a lot of the time.

    • You neg'd the deal because… ?

    • @tomwhiteallnight I think it is a phablet, anything above 5.2 is
And someone above said he has waited 30 days for item to get delivered from this company and still nothing, that kills it for me above 30 days is too long

    • @tomwhiteallnight: Agree.
I suppose everything is larger than the candy-bar days of old.
The 5.5 inch is definitely a large phone and people should check out a phone that size b4 buying.
Functionally I think it has the crunch power of some fairly new tablets.

    • How much do they cost again?

  • Rep, the specs say it supports TF cards up to 64gb. I have only read that one plus doesn't support external cards. Could you please confirm if this is true?

    • +1

Got the 64gb model in my hand right now and most certainly it does not have an SD slot.

I have a OPO through DWI. This is a good price but not sure I would want to wait 1-2 months for delievery as others have stated. If your prepared to wait this long, might as well try your luck with the next preorder. Shouldn't work out much more than this even with the mail forwarder from the US.

The type of person who buys a Oneplus One, is the type of person who needs more than 16GB of fixed storage. Just wait for a deal on the 64GB who buy a different phone from like, OppoMart

  • +1

The 1+1 is a fantastic phone, but:
    a) I wouldn't get the 16GB. The 64GB doesn't cost too much more (at standard prices), and is well worth it.
    b) I wouldn't buy from gearbest. They're ridiculously slow, and you'll never be able to unsubscribe from their spam emails.

Gearbest is soooo slow with their postage! Beware!

  • Just ordered, hope the postage isn't too long

  • using oneplus (64GB) for last 2 months. it doesn't have memory card slot. if possible go for 64GB. it can record vedio at at $K resolution and 1 min 4K video file size is approx 750MB. so decide wisely please.

  • Personally, I'm going to wait until the next pre-order for the international version (which is mid-November; here's a count-down timer): proper manufacturer warranty, etc…

    • +1

"Proper manufacturer warranty" is going to be an awful lot of hassle, as Australia isn't one of the countries they ship to, so you'll have to do some convoluted reshipping thing via the US if you ever need to send it back. Not to mention needing to use a shipping forwarder to get it to you when you buy it in the first place.

Just get one from DWI who have local warranty.

      • Hmmm, you make a compelling argument. I guess it depends on where I think the lower risk is: the device working vs issue with international warranty vs issues with local mob. We probably have more consumer rights with local sellers, so I think you may be right.

I'm going to explore this Aussie thread on the OnePlus forum further before making a decision, though…

        Thanks for the tip!

  • Sigh… this, or the LG G3?

With the G3, you have Multi Window, so you can YouTube, while browsing on the internet at the same time…

What does this phone have, over the G3?

  • Doesn't seem that cheap. Can be had here fo $380 AUD.

    http://www.everbuying.com/product570096.html

    • Web Of Trust gives this site a poor customer service rating, with some respondents calling the site a scam? Anyone had experience with Everbuying.com ?

  • +1

wait why is this favourable over ordering at dwi? i was mulling it over for a few days but that's cos i thought it was $338 AUD. after reading the comments about shipping times and such i'd personally pay more for something more efficient. or are the doubts about shipping efficiency the same between gearbest and dwi?

    thanks

    • +4

Good point. After currency conversion, this is about AUD$385 delivered. That's pretty rubbish for the 16gb. I got my 64gb for AUD$391 delivered in the DWI ebay sale. DWI currently is about AUD$400 for a 16gb. DWI's delivery took less than a week when I bought mine from them.

I'd see what price gearbest can do the 64gb for next week.

  • I have not handled a OnePlus but the reports indicate that it is brilliant.
But… there are 2 things I really like about my Nex5. Wireless charging, which is way more convenient than it sounds, and prompt OS updates from Google. Looking forward to trying out Lillipop in about a month.

Stay away from GearBest. In all the years i have been buying online i haven't had as much crap in getting an item as i have with this lot. Orded a phone way back first week of Nov . Now the 8th Dec and chasing up the delivery that has been retured to the send because they put the wrong name & address on it . Tried to cancel the order a few weeks ago but they refused saying the package had already been sent and would be a 15% restocking fee .

    TOTAL WASTE OF TIME
