    Are the Samsung's still considered better than the LG'S?

    I'm looking at getting a 60"

    and the 601b7500 @ ~$1664 isn't bad either

      They are pretty on par with eachother, lg might have better smart if the Samsung smart version is old

          I would definitely go with the UA60H6400AW, much better TV!

          Although it doesn't help that it's so hard to find reviews on LG TV's so you can compare yourself, why is that??? Plenty of reviews for Samsung TV's!

          Yeah I can't seem to find any reviews of either TV's actually. The LG matches the rest of our furniture though so I guess there's that going for it..

    I was going to wait until boxing day sales to pick up a new TV, but with prices like these do you think it would be better to buy now? The Sony 800B 55" is what I am specifically after, or perhaps the 60" version for a few hundred bucks more.

    I'm holding out to get a 4K TV at a decent price… I know it's quite the right time to get one yet but I got a GoPro4 Black as bday gift so now I can generate my own 4K content and having a TV to watch it on would be awesome!

    I know Samsung has a 'cheapish' 50" model which I may ended going for but I would obviously like to get something better/bigger.

      Honestly don't bother getting a 4k yet, it's pointless buying a TV at a high price when you can hardly experience the new technology. You better off waiting till next xmas and then they will be really cheap and you should have some content to watch in 4k :)

        Well, the Samsung I mentioned can be had for under 1.5K so not THAT bad. A lot of regular FHD still cost more than that… the only issue is that I would like something with more features or a bigger screen seeing as it would a 4K panel.

        As for the content, like I said, I can generate my own… I race motorcycles and I CANNOT wait to see it on 4K!!! But then there's the problem of editing a 4K video on my laptop… hahaha oh man, this tech thing a money pit and a half

    Trent the TV man does it again!
    Its soo hard to decide when to buy a new TV by the rate the prices are dropping!
    Would Christmas/Boxing Day be the best time to buy for 2014?

    And yes, would like to know how Sony is now compared to Samsung. Thinking of jumping to the Sony bandwagon by reading some comments on OzB.

      It's so hard to tell, the Binglee prices are in competition with Jbhifi's 15% off Sale and then you get that extra 10% off so it's a big deal.
      Sony and Samsung are both great brand in my opinion, they don't differ that much although Sony has been known for better experience when gaming but I have a 50hz Samsung and play zombies black ops online all the time and Mario kart with no probs
