It would be a great deal if the E-mount 50mm f1.8 included as well.
It can be bought for cheaper and there was a deal today for much less. Use your haggling powers. I bought one a month back for $763 from JB Hi Fi and got a $100 cash back. Turned out to be a pretty good deal.
Was 669 with Kogan Free Shipping yesterday and would still be cheaper with shipping included.$799 at JB with 16-50 Lens and you can get the zoom lens free from Sony.. How is your a a better deal? This is without haggling and without my 6% cash back from work.
Are you sure? The Sony website states "Sony authorised dealers" only (aka. Sony stores) via instant redemption. Sony are also out of stock on their website.
A list of the retailers can be found here(sony.com.au) and JB and Bing Lee are both on there, Kogan isn't.
Thank you! It defaulted to "Sony Centre" when I checked last (and I didn't see the other options).
Now to actually find a single JB Hifi store which has both items in stock.. I wonder if I can pick up the lens for 'free' from a different store?
I think the authorised dealers is for instant delivery. All other store you would need to send in paperwork for.
