  • OP, add "Save $9" in title… (NOT quite 50% Off the normal cost)

    "This course includes:

    • 15 Course Lectures
    • Over 20 Supplemental Materials
    • Course Lecture Notes Included
    • 6 Case Studies
    • Case Photos
    • Over 2 hours of lecture"

At first glance, it looks like a single-topic "sampler" to me, eg, like a $10 accounting software DEMO.

How many -other- topics are in the -full- course. & at what (unknown) cost?

(BTW, I just played a dated Dave Barry & associate interview (in a free "Commonwealth Club of California" podcast), in which one of the two guests mentions "Forensic Plumbing," a -real- field, from which expert-witnesses can be supplied to a court…)

    — I'd say: Try a MOOC instead (or afterwards… ;-)

FYI, the Coursera app lists an -excellent- multi-topic Forensic Science course - from NanYang Tech. Uni, in Singapore.

It's taught in Eng (by a For. Sci. from UK), & covers a wide range of cases & techniques.

    Coursera's MOOCs are ALL free:

All Coursera courses are Cost-Free & - in our experience - of top quality; this one certainly is:

    • [An] Intro to Forensic Science (Nanyang Uni, SG)

The instructor (who seems to have real-world experience in the For.Sci. field) takes us into his For.Sci. lab, eg, to show a traditional test or the machines, currently used to make more useful, up-to-date tests.

    PS:

Coursera makes enrollment in any course that's in-progress or about to start in a few days, as easy as Clicking a button.

(This is similar to Amazon's "1-Click" shopping, EXCEPT there's NO risk of being charged for a Coursera course.

In contrast - you can sometimes be surprised to be billed, on Amazon, while "buying" a (recently) -free- Kindle eBook, if its price goes up "when you blink"… It's NOT that bad, but - on Amazon - you must check the Kindle price JUST BEFORE you buy -or- turn "1-Click" shopping Off.

I don't mean to be unfair to Amazon, as we've collected well over 1,200 -free- Kindle eBooks, over recent years, thanks to OzB deals… but - once in a while - we get -unexpectedly- billed there…)

  • Ahh, aren't there any similar ones on edx or coursera?
