got my ambition plus wagon a few weeks back and love it. little or no turbo lag and the 6 speed manual is awesome.

Factory turbo will always have 'lag' no matter how you see it… Or feel it

      • Factory turbo will always have 'lag' no matter how you see it… Or feel it

This makes absolutely no sense at all unless you are talking only about Australian built cars or poorly designed ones?

After market turbos are the ones that often suffer from lag as they are larger than the standard ones whereas many factory ones such as the ones that VAG use for most of their vehicles have no detectable lag (especially when you have a twin charge engine) and it's only when you go for a larger turbo that the lag is noticeable (for example the GTI has no detectable lag but when you go to the R the larger turbo has lag that is detectable).

As zoomzoomzoom pointed out poorly implemented turbos like in the territory has a hell of a lot of lag compared to one that has been sized for the engine and purpose.

Drive a properly designed car with a turbo and you will be unlikely to notice any lag.

  • yes hence little or no. Much much better than my turbo terratory

  • Yeti was 20990 two years ago. Shoulda.

A pity about the absence of the TDI - but, then, whom I kidding? We've got 3 Škodas already (Octavia TDI, Fabia TSI & Fabia Monte Carlo). And no, I'm not associated with Škoda…

They run beautifully and they've got crappy resale value - hence all bought secondhand (this year). A pity that they depreciate so quickly, but if you want to take advantage of this deal (and don't have a tendency to experience bouts of upgraditis) they are well worth a look.

  • their video commercial states $23990 driveaway for Yeti. !! hmmm..

    • manual?

  • How is the servicing network/repair costs of these cars? They look like a hiden bargain as many wouldn't consider a brand they don't know

They're part of the VAG group and use Volkswagen parts, servicing is reasonable at once per year and you can get them serviced with Skoda or a VW/Audi dealer if required.

Hi guys, i work for VW group, but not in the sales team. have been to OZBARGAIN for years, first time post.

as far as i'm aware of, the campaign DOES include TDI models.

cars in this campaign are with capped price servicing, better just give dealer a ring to find out more.
