  Went today and the price for the Sony 5050bt is still 269. Had to go home to get a screenshot of the photo and try again later. Btw what's the difference between the 4050 and 5050. Like what does the nfc do?

    You should have just told the sales person to check the Internet price without having to go home. When I purchased a Pioneer from JB the discounted price in store was much higher. The sales person checked the web price and agreed to the online price. Also gave me a few dollars more off because of this mistake.

    Just bought the 5050bt (with free vacuum cleaner). Staff member said he had to print it up first as scans at full price at counter.

    So that's all that was needed - ask a knowledgeable staff member first. Shane at Mt Gravatt was an experienced installer, so picked up plenty of tips.

    Used a free $30 Gift Card left over from last year. Now to see if I can sell off the unwanted vacuum cleaner to bring the cost down further. Someone has already posted one on Gumtree for $35. RRP is $69, SuperCheap sell at $45. I'll be happy with $25.

  If your interested in getting one of the sony headunits I'd act fast. My local place had them yesterday, but when I went down today they had to order one in from chadstone.
  I went the 5050bt, mainly because I wasn't paying for it. You can change the color, and it has extra audio-outs. Not really worth $25 to me. If you get the MEXN5050BTF then you get a vacuum cleaner, but it sounds like its nothing to write home about.
