could this be used for desktop PC? :)

These obviously don't come in a box so you would have to make something, then need an amplifier. You could probably pick up some old school 2nd hand hifi speakers on Gumtree for $20 already in custom boxes.

For example - Pioneer speakers $25.

Yes, make some space next to the mechanical hard drives in your tower case. Fits nicely there and sounds really good

    • Need to find a compatible amp from what I know. Then do wiring (complicated). So easier to just buy a set of computer speakers.

  • FR of 16K is pretty low. Odd considering it is a 2 way speaker.

    • "Please explain?"

    • +1

FR specs are meaningless to begin with unless they specify a cutoff level.

    • half the people on this forum cant even hear higher than 16k

I find that hard to believe. Happy to be proven wrong though.

Fantastic? No. An improvement with factory sound systems? Usually.
Pioneer are easy enough to drive, and use a progressive resistance on their spider - Typically their entry level speakers don't absolutely need amplifying, and are a notable improvement from stock.
Especially budget/base model where you can sometimes find Dual Cone, even today.

As well as being a car nerd, I've used these to replace speakers in arcade cabinets, and they manage to run really well on the 10W RMS triapth amps of some china import cabinets

The only other shallow mount speakers that sound "worthwhile" on factory power I've found is the Kicker CS654

    • Depends on what is there first.

These will be a cheap upgrade to the woefully underwhelming stock speakers in the MG4(for those who picked one up recently).

  • They are very good speakers, no need to make cabins. Once I had hooked them up with my old cassette player.

  • LOL, the frequency range. More like they start at 500hz. I wouldn't put these in my car.

    • Can you elaborate that as how will that impact a moving vehicle with lots of ambient noise inside and outside the vehicle? I would like to learn this topic.

      • No bass response. Fine for talk back am radio though

        • Agreed and probably need an additional subwoofer to get the kick.

  • Crap speakers, but for the price still better than stock!

No where cheaper I can find… Amazon and Ebay at least $50.

    plus vote!

  • Good enough for the price.

installed in my old Yaris to replace original speaker. Good enough for what it does.

if you ask me it is bang for buck. no more no less

  • I have 3 pairs of these I bought for the same price… 10 years ago.

Yes, they're still in their boxes.

  • I've got a 2012 hyundai i20, with factory installed speakers. Considering they are 12 years old now, the sound cracks when turned up too loud. Would y'all recomend me getting this. TIA

    • Nah just turn down the volume 😂

It'll sound better assuming the factory speakers are paper cones and not splits or two way or three way.

    • I guess you need to find out the size of the existing speakers first as these might not fit.
