25% off is nothing. You can purchase one of these phonecard from places like chinatown for 30% - 50% less of the card's face value. And no need to spend $30 or more to get the discount … Negative

    • Really? We seems to get less discount from our suppliers.

    • I need to check with my supplier then. But I would think 30%-50% off wouldn't be for "hello china". if you could let me the shop who sells the "hello china" with 30%-50% off, please let me know. I will source from them then.

  • ye, hello china is definitely the more reliable brand that I have came across

    • I agree with you in the point. That is why we are put special up for the product.

  • while usually offer 20% off for hello china, i guess 25% is stilla discount. Would be better if it was a bit more =p

    • Acutally, if you buy two "hello china", you will get more than 25% off. As it is 25% further off. So if you buy more than 2, you will get around 35% off.

Please pay attention to terms and conditions (unfair)

    • Service fee of twenty cents is charged on the day when the phone card is first used and every seven days thereafter

    • Calls are charged in one minute blocks, minimum of five minutes charge per call

    • A disconnection fee of eight cents applies for every call greater than ten minutes

Beware their pricing system, I am not happy to use phone card any more simply because of "hidden" charges and unfair terms and conditions.

I would suggest people who make large volume of international calls to switch to Skype. Their voice quality is much better.

    • From my point view, the "hello china" phone card will still be cheaper that you call frequently. Let's think this way:
      (1) if you make a short call which is less than five minutes, it is not for you.
      (2) if you make calls less than once a week, it is not for you.

But otherwise, I will think phone card will offer better deal than skype and voip. What is your idea?

Choose proper phone card to fit your calling pattern and call destination will save more than VOIP products. But VOIP's convience will make it more popular in the future. And we are sourcing prepaid VOIP products at the moment. But as time goes, I do think how to choose VOIP products will become more difficult too. And we will build VOIP products selector just like our phone search tools to maximize customer's benefits.

      And any suggestion is welcomed.

      • I'll change my vote now as you'd changed the original deal, however, in regard to "which is best deal from phone card vs voip" I would also like to point out that the cost of a local call charge apply each time when using phone card. There are circumstance where card's network is congested so needs to redial several times to get it through, these charge will add up toward to the monthly phone bill eventually.

So on top of these unfair terms and conditions, I wouldn't recommend phone card for long run. Simply becasue there are too many "hidden" charges that people may not being aware of it.

        • Thanks for changing your mind. But as VOIP charge higher rates and you internet connection speed will affect the quality of voice. For phone card, if you choose proper phone card (from large suppliers), you will mostly get quite high quality voice. It won't be affected by your ISP provider qaulity. For VOIP, the quality of voice both is affected by VOIP provider and ISP.

But with improved quality of broadband quality, I believe that VOIP will be in 80-90% market. But in current time, phone card will still give you higher quality and better value in most of time.

  • no deal

    • Hi, What do you mean that there is no deal?

      • probably just an idiot

        good deal, thanks
