Bargain $5 Long Sleeve Detour Brand Shirt from BCF. Green(ish) colour only and only available in L & XL.

This is a very practical looking shirt which I suggest should be worn for fishing or mowing the lawn only. Not recommended for social occasions.

  • OP - where's the stock for collect?

No stock available from the Tweed to Rockhampton & out to Toowoomba :-( Checked a few locations in other states but not in stores.

    Was originally only $10.

  • Not sure how to find which stores have stock sorry…anyone having any success?

Add to cart, go to checkout, select collect, select at each store & be prepared to be disappointed.

    • You have to add the item to the checkout and then go to the checkout. At the review purchases screen there a pickup in store button which you should press and there's a blue change store button you can select any store you want to see whether it's in stock there or not.

Going by my store click and collect searching i can not find any store listed that even has this shirt in stock.

It's a basically a no in store stock deal. Online only by the looks. Delivery price seems to kill the deal some what.

  • Shipping kills this deal. No stock in any regions I tested, so no store pickup. Attempting delivery, cheapest shipping option is 3kg which is over $10 for one shirt (total $15.05 for one shirt). Trying 2 or 3 shirts, the 3kg option is no longer available. Cheapest shipping to Canberra for 2 shirts is $17.18 (total cost $13.59 per shirt), cheapest shipping for 3 shirts is $25.69 ($13.56 total price per shirt)

    Nice deal description though! :)

    • I agree. Considering you're only saving $5 per shirt from what it's normally sold for i fail to see how this is such a great deal when factoring in the shipping fee which kills the deal. It's not like you're saving $50 per shirt that would make it worth while but not a $5 saving per shirt. The description doesn't even say what material this fishing shirt is made out of is it Cotton, Cotton/Poly mix or Polyester. Shrugs. For $10 normal sale price i fail to see it being a 100% Cotton shirt. Maybe Polyester which would be awful for being out in the hot sun.

For social occasions example is SABA selling $129/$149 100% Cotton shirts for $23.40 delivered now that's a great deal. Not so for this one in the topic and it's only a cheap fishing shirt!.

      • Material is quick drying & uv blocking (rules out cotton), so could be one of the cheaper synthetics like nylon or polyester. Bought & returned similar discounted nylon & polyester shirts as were far to hot in QLD climate.

        • Then probably polyester. Would make it an awful fishing shirt for hot summer climates. Perhaps that's why it was normally sold for only $10 and is now $5. Polyester is cheap but don't wear it in hot summer climates like Queensland, Northern Territory etc.

          @hollykryten:
I was wanting a quick drying & uv blocking material for the heat in Myanmar.

I failed to read the label on the shirts recommended by staff, just looked at the heavily discounted price & good style of the well ventilated shirts.

Tried on in air conditioned Brissie store, but boiled when I walked out into 37C heat. Learnt my lesson about nylon or polyester in the heat.

Luckily I got store credit from Mountain Designs, later refunded fully after complaint to head office. Picked up stylish & cool linen shirts for about $10 in KL on way to Myanmar.
