  • Isnt this same as whats at HN for $498 normal price/or have been in this price for some time now?

    http://www.harveynorman.com.au/dyson-dc59-handstick-vacuum-c…

    • The one at HN is the non animal version

  • Forgive the ignorance, but what's so good about these compared to the conventional vacuum cleaners or even those cheap bagless cyclone ones you can get (which IMO are pretty good) from Kmart?

You buy Dyson and forget about buying another Vacuum for at least 10+ yrs, very little to no loss in suction…
Its expensive but its worth the money…

This is a very powerful cordless vac. The cordless feature makes it very easy to quickly clean a small area - no need to drag out the mains vac, plug it in, wheel it around, etc.

If you live in a small unit you could probably use it as your only vac.

    • Ive used many vacuums in the past…. and had the same perspective.

But when i got a Dyson it is fantastic, especially with the motorhead. It brings the carpet back to life.

I now own 2 Dysons, one large for the big clean up weekend and a handheld dc59 for small area clean up because i have 2 boys whose very good at making a mess.

BTW got this during the 40% off PWC for $389.

    • I bought a used dyson not sure exact model but was over 5 years old and even at that age it had more suction then any non dyson ive ever owned.

They are 100% worth the money.

You don't need to change bags, otherwise Miele craps all over a Dyson.

  • I have the dc59 and confirm they are amazing. Crazy expensive but that good. I'd wait till Xmas and see what the sales bring I paid just over $400+ and got a free tool kit

If you use coupon code AR5 at http://www.billyguyatts.com.au/dyson-dc59-animal-handstick-v… it is $501.20 delivered to Sydney (2000)

    • With price beat at masters (10% off) it comes to $467

      • Didn't think masters had the animal version. They only show the non animal DC59 on website which is $498.

  • They do. I bought it from them. On the website search by dyson. They don't have the model number mentioned in the description.

  • So the animal just has an extra motorised head, is that right? I assume for a non carpet area, this head is not needed anyway?

  • They actually don't come with a satisfactory hard floor head. I ended up buying one that is not built for that model and is is OK but would prefer one specifically built for the DC59

  • I think you can actually get it cheaper if masters match and price beat, it comes down to $467 then less 10% with the FRIENDS code promo, comes down to $420. There's no exclusions regarding appliances this time. I tested it online and it worked.

Edit: if you have a trade card the 5% also applies when I made a dummy order online

    • You got a price beat online?
The terms of friends promo states it can't be redeemed with any other offer so doubt they would give you both.

      • No I'm assuming that will be honored in store. I might go tomorrow and try my luck. Perviously there were no problems stacking the promo

        • Tried it… cant do! They only price matched it and didnt acknowledge the family and friends code.

  • Also currently $519 at Costco. Have this vac - love it!

  • I thought Masters didn't price beat appliances but would match them?
What is the price at Masters?
