    $550 jeans are hardly a bargain…

  • +2

A simple internet search shows numerous websites explaining why these jeans cost what they do, and considering this is well below retail (they cost $266.5 & $357.5 with the 35% off + $1 shipping), this is a great bargain whether you buy it or not.
    Just ungrateful people

    • Thank perko.
You also get a tee with every item purchased.

    • thats cool. I still don't find them to be a bargain regardless of the original rrp. Other ppl who do think they are worth that will see it as a bargain. Thus no neg vote.

    • Please show me these websites you are talking about. I did a google search of "fukyu jeans", "fukyu denim", "fukyu brand" then "fukyu clothing" and I've gotten nothing except this site that's selling.

Where is the proof that these jeans cost as much as they do RRP?

      • The fukyu jeans are $60 with the coupon code. If you read the original post more carefully you will see that "PRPS" is the brand of the jeans with the high RRP.

        • What are you talking about?

I am asking for proof that the RRP of the "PRPS" range is in fact $700 (and why they cost so much, as mentioned by above post). How can a brand have jeans that has no information available cost more than the RRP of famous brands like G-star and Ksubi?

          • +2

@fufufu: What? Your own comment says: "I did a google search of “fukyu jeans”, “fukyu denim”, “fukyu brand” then “fukyu clothing” and I’ve gotten nothing". If you bothered to search for "PRPS" instead you would find plenty of information about the brand; they even have a Wikipedia article, for goodness sake. I'll say no more.

getting error - You have used coupon code: fukyu the maximum number of times allowed per customer. 1 time.

    • Can you try again?
      It seems to work…

    • +1

Maybe try coupon code: fookme ;-) definitely allowed more than once

  • Great Jukyu..Bought one…

  • @ $60 a shirt I can understand why your giving one away free and %50 off
    Very limited range

    No thanks…..

I buy my shirts from here http://www.threadless.com/

    • +2

Just because you don't like the item isn't a reason to neg it. This is definitely a bargain.

    • No thanks, what a rip

i buy my shirts from here

      lowes.com.au

      -_-

  • I think you might have linked to the wrong site because I'm trying really hard to see jeans worth more than $100, let alone $700, and I'm not doing so well…

    • Click on 'Other', not 'Bottoms' under the mens section.

Then behold the $700 jeans, which are aptly named as well ;-)

      • The only things in 'Other' are more Bottoms, lol. Figure that one out… :/

Thanks though, I see them now. Revoked my negative vote, but personally speaking I don't find this deal amazing. Sure, they're not standard jeans, but if you're looking for unique jeans I think you can do a lot better if you're planning to spend $400 on a pair.

    • +2

      One man's rip-off is another man's bargain…

This qualifies as a bargain since the retailer is offering a genuine and significant discount off of the retail price of this particular item. And yes, I agree with perko above that there are reasons why these jeans cost more than most bog-standard jeans; not all jeans are made alike.

  • yo jukyu . im a regular customer i guess .
i like shirts . great quality . but we have to talk about your jeans…
    i'll PM you

  • -6

People tend to do the exact opposite. Its better left unsaid.

  • +1

To all the bogan rednecks that don't know anything about fashion. Target is thata way man ——>>

    • -1

Actually, all those plain jeans in the normal Men's Bottoms section look like they just came out of Target.

  • So, "50% off all fukyu stock"… Does that mean that in the 'bottoms' section… The jeans that cost $120, would they be $60? Or is the discount only for the more expensive jeans?

    • The $120 jeans are $60 with the code + you get a tee.

  • +2

I have one pair of jeans. Unique therefore collectors item. Normally I would sell for $5000 for you only $1000 cheap! I will autograph and provide certificate number (#1!) if you want. Personalised holes and wear spots just tell me where you want them. I'll throw in some jocks off the line too. Brand is "MoneycantbuysenseYouvebeenrippedoffbutnowIcanbuyanewipodGFU". ;-)

  • i was wondering if there are any places in melb that stock either types of jeans so i can try them on for size? i dont rly wanna spend 400 on prps and then its a crap fit :( any ideas where i cud go?

    • There should be plenty of premium denim boutiques especially in Melbourne.
At our price, these jeans are worth every penny.

  • $20 jeans for how much?? What a load of crap.

    • Do you know why we list here even though we don't want to see comments like yours?
Because not everyone is like you. Give some love pal.

      • Of course you don't want to see comments like mine because you don't like me pointing out that the brand is 95% of the cost of this clothing.

I got plenty of love for a real bargain.

  • $700 for a pair of jeans? Even with the discount I say Fukyu.

  • +1

A bargain? May be for the abnormal .002% of the population.

  • +1

unique name… though i'd prefer marks and spencer and levis…

  • +2

How the heck can you be selling Jeans online without providing accurate measurements!!

  • +3

Sometimes I'm really glad I know nothing about fashion! Those $550 ones look (to me) an awful lot like the $10 Blues Union cheapies I got on special at BigW a while back, seriously! ;)

Ignorance is bliss here IMHO, it'd be slightly different if they were really outstanding in some way; but no, I couldn't think of anything worse than being a slave to fairly mundane fashion! :p

  • -1

Not a bargain, sorry, and I'm familiar with boutique clothing.

  • This system of voting isn't working! we have 5 negative notes, which themselves have been voted negative.
I think the negative votes should be nulled after a certain amount of minus votes!?

It's not fair just because people don't understand the difference between mass manufacturing and designer brands.

Might start a forum topic… anyone agree?

    • -1

I agree. There seems to be no love around here..
Its rather funny.. Does everything have to be $10 or free for it to be called a bargain?

      • +1

The key word probably is 'value'.

none of your clothing cost as much as a Dell laptop, but IMO, since you are a rep, it's not helping with your comments implying the people here only go for cheap/free stuff.

    • +1

      Agreed.
I'm still vague because I thought the +/- is meant to determine whether the post is a good bargain or not, and the comment section can be used to express opinion whether the person like item/service provided.

Lately I've been seeing negative votes simply because the voter didn't like the brand of items on sale….

    • Almost 50 comments and 900 clicks, yet only 10 positive votes. That speaks louder than the 4 negative votes, not to mention the 4 votes that have been retracted, and it does not speak well of this offer.

      The system is working.

      • -1

SO? Top deal atm has 110votes/4833clicks about 2.2%
        This has 11votes/902clicks about 1.2%

1% difference for what is best deal around verses what some people see as not a bargin is minuscule.
        It's not the point.

The point is people are voting negatively becase they are bogans.

        • The point is people are voting negatively becase they are bogans.

A bogan voting positive is still a bogan.

Personally, I would not buy $700 jeans, but thats not the point. The poster was just making note of 1 particular pair. He has others in stock.

If you notice, he is offering $120 jeans for $60 + free T-shirt, which is a good deal, and apparently only $1 shipping.

In regards to the $700 jeans. If he is offering $700 jeans for 35% off, that is a bargain to some. Maybe not to you, but to some it is.

Not everyone thinks $$$$$ is black and white. Some spend more money on designer labels etc as you would spend more money on what YOU find important in say, a computer.
    Its personal choice.

You can fly Jetstar or you can fly Qantas.

agree.. for example Prada/Channel owner posts here that the bags that has RRP more than au$ 5000 now 15% off, im sure lots of girls will run straight away to buy them… but guys maybe just ignore this

  • heaps pretentious clothing

  • not a boutique store at all.

  • I thought it was a good deal and was about to buy a pair or two.. but as said… selling clothing online without providing full accurate measurements. Thats just lazy!

    • +1

We have measurement chart inside each item page..

    • +1

Not opening and reading the page correctly! Thats just lazy!

      • Pretty sure it wasn't there be4. :)

    Let's look at this practically:

$700 is expensive for jeans, even for jeans made in Japan. For the price of 20 pairs of jeans, you could almost buy a small car that's also been made in Japan. Logically, even if they are the best jeans in the world, there's probably not going to be much of a market for them. Sell a few for a lot of profit, compared to K-Mart's sell a lot for a little profit.

So what are the reasons for the higher costs? Firsly, they are made in Japan and not a sweatshop in India. The wages in Japan are higher than India/China, so that's going to drive the price up. Secondly, from the PRPS Wikipedia article, it would appear that they are hand-sewn on antiquated machines that are slower but provide better quality stitching. This means more labour costs per unit. Finally, there's the brand. You can charge more for a brand and people are happy to pay.

As for the offer: If this is truly the cheapest you can get them anywhere in the world, then I think that regardless of what the product is, it would qualify as a bargain. Though even at the heavily discounted price, there's probably (hopefully) still some profit being made (why would you sell anything at a loss? loss leading only works for supermarkets).

At the end of the day, I don't think trying to get the absolute best deal on everything is a good practice. Sure, you might save some money. But someone gets screwed out of a job, someone gets screwed out of fair working conditions, and someone gets screwed out of some customer service. One day it could be you that's getting screwed.

    • Well said..
This is truly the lowest price you can get PRPS for.
If you love premium denims, $350 is not that expensive.
Expecially for a jean that retails for $700.
And the PRPS Corvair is only about $260.

  • The $120 jeans for half price are awesome. You will not find jeans that look good for 60 bucks. Target/jay jay jeans for a bit lower price are okayish but don't look as good.

    • My fave jeans are still my Rivers ones though, super comfy, great fit, look great, cost the princely sum of $29.95 :)

  • Bought a pair of jeans and it came with a free $60 shirt. Can't really complain about the jeans for their price. While the shirt felt like awesome quality at first, it ripped the first time i took it off.
    :(
