UPDATE: I got my order last night (7/10), so at least some of us did I guess.

EDIT: after many people complaining about them cancelling and not refunding, I apologise, I had nothing to do with it but I'm in the same boat and not sure if I'm getting an order or not (I didn't get a cancellation email so it's possible?)

They changed the website - they literally said on that page that the "$1 fee would be refunded to your account"

When do you deliver?
We deliver from Monday to Wednesday between 2pm and 9pm. You'll know your day and time window when entering your postcode. We can’t give you the exact time that your box will be delivered so please make sure you provide delivery hints for us in case you’re not at home to receive your box.

You pay a $1 subscription activation fee. We need your credit card details to add you to our delivery database. Your card details will remain secure and will only be used by us if you continue your subscription.

Do I have a minimum time for the subscription?
No. You can cancel at any time after you've received your first delivery! You need to let us know by Wednesday night if you do not require a delivery the following week via your online account. You must let us know by this time because we commit to order quantities with our suppliers for the following week.

Why isn't my voucher working?

@abigail-lopez: Mine said Monday. Mine also said it was cancelled. But I was still hoping ..against all hopes :-(

  • So 1 week since the deal went live - cant see $$ back in my account! Anyone else?

    • +1

Same here raw-man. I've decided NOT to spend any time contacting them in an attempt to get my $1 back. I earn a decent wage, so it is not worth my time to spend 5 minutes to reclaim $1 from them. It would seem that having stiffed me on their initial agreement with me, they have now also decided it's not worth the time/effort it would take them to return my dollar. I have not asked for it, so they seem happy to keep it. Of course there was nothing in any of their emails about cancellation telling me I'd get my dollar back; that simply would not have been congruent with the (entirely bizarre) claims therein that it was me that cancelled, that they were "sorry to see me go" etc… (lol)

Anyways, I believe my ill-gotten and "cavalierly retained" dollar may ultimately be a thorn in their side. Should they ever find themselves attempting to explain this farce to consumer affairs or a similar regulatory authority, I've no doubt they will be asked:

"And on your own initiative, did you take all reasonable steps possible to return all the money you had accepted, for orders you subsequently did not fill?"

To this, they will be forced to answer "No".

There will be plenty of proof of this, and my "missing dollar" (which they have never contacted me about, much less refunded) will be a small part of that proof.

      • I'm guessing you are paid by the word :P

  • Looks like less than 20 users got it.
It was a pain to cancel the subscription on their website and then in Paypal. So not that easy to forget and carry on. It is just $1, but don't want to leave it to a company for their negligence and utter rubbish explanation of their server not able to cope up.

  • I, like others here, was charged $1 but not refunded. I just called them to get it back - the staff was friendly but I shouldn't have to call back, wasting my time, to get a refund.

  • I called to try and get my $1 back and it still hasn't been refunded. Has anyone else had this happen?

  • -1

I was one of the lucky ones to have the order delivered. Today I received a refund of $1 as well. I feel bad now.

    • +1

$1 was just for confirmation of a valid card and subscription. As per the deal, it was to be refunded even you get the item or not.

        Oh right, gotcha. Thanks!
