They were clearing these out for $5 last year https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/121882. Looks like they never cleared them all out and now they are a hot price at $19.98. Love the games that Dick plays.

    • Well, i usually consider "in store pick up only" as a totally different deal, as they usually out of stock everywhere and just a way to attract your attention. Dick Smith did a lot all the time!

However, if they do have in stock, and provide free shipping, i will consider it as real stock and real deal.

For $20, it is good price, i heard it is clear bass, good noise cancellation effect. Haven't try Sony NC-13, so i cannot compare.

  • What is the difference between noise cancelling earphones and good earphones? Never used noise cancelling before

    • Noise cancellation means that they try to make the surrounding noise disappear. for example traffinc, people speaking,…. Some work pretty good some don't really

Active nc means that the earphones have a mic to capture external noise and reproduce a negative sound to reduce noise levels. There are some headphones were this works really well.

    • Active NC is useful for where there is a repetitive sound you want to remove like when you are inside an plane. The NC strips out the constant drone of the jet engines. They make a huge difference and you find you do not need to up the volume as much. So in the right circumstance active NC is sensational.

  • Anyone used these? Thinking I might get some for my upcoming Europe trip. Not expecting the world for $20, but think they could help in trying to get some sleep on the long flights (?) and won't cry if they're broken or lost during the trip.

  • I've got a few pairs of these, for $20 I don't think you can do better. They do eventually get a little uncomfy after long periods of use, but I love them for use when flying. Don't have to be to protective of them when they are only $20.
    Go for it.

    I did.

  • When I click onto the link, it gives me $50 :(
