Kogan Qi Wireless Charger $19 + Free Shipping @ Kogan

120

Pair it with this deal!

"The thin and lightweight Qi Wireless Inductive Charging Mat provides convenient charging without the mess of tangled charging cables. All you need to do is plug the Charging Mat into a USB power source and place your compatible device on it for charging."

Similar to past deals, I don't think i've seen it below $19.

      slightly different, but i made the mistake of buying the kogan one a while back and its a pile of shit. anything more than about 5mm off "perfect" and it wont work.

      It looks the same, but it doesnt feel the same.
      I have 2 of these Kogan Wireless Charger. Bought them when they were $29 and $15 at different times.
      and I also have the above ebay's charger. They may function similarly, but they are different in built quality.

        Would you recommend Kogan's over generic eBay ones?

        • +3

          no
          i have on of each and the ebay ~$6 one is better

        • Yes, I prefer Kogan's.

        • +1

          I have an eBay one. Paid about $8 delivered. Works fine with my nexus 5.

          @jimmej:

          Is it slower than usb/cable charging? If so, how slow?

        • +2

          @nosdan:

          Link to your eBay one?

        • the ebay one is really light, and the plastic feels a bit cheap compared to the kogan one which has decent quality plastics. though these are wireless chargers, you wont move them much…

        • @bargainaus: 700ma (inductive) vs 500ma (PC USB) to 2.1A (typically 900-1000 if fast charging)

        • +1

          @bargainaus:

          It is slower. I leave it on my desk at work. It's the only place I charge during the week. I'd be guessing if I'd put a speed on it. Mine is the same one that is linked above.

        • @jimmej:

          I use flip cover case with my Nexus 4, will this eBay one charge through this or it needs to be uncovered?

        • @bargainaus:
          no idea - but if it did I imagine it would charge slower

        • +1

          @bargainaus: Works with my Nexus 5 and a flip cover…..

    I have the Logan one, haven't tried others, but I love it….

      Is there a Magneto one?

      • Xavier is X-treme model :P

  • Or save the $19 and just use the free cable he's supposed to be sending out soon. http://www.kogan.com/au/freecable/

    Pretty sure cable is better and faster.

    • I doubt it is a 'fast charge' cable. Go plug in Kogan's cable onto a Nexus 5 for example to the supplied DC adaptor, and it'll show up as being charged via USB.. I've got a modified cable, and shows up as charging via AC.

  • is it working for g3?

  • will this work with the LG G3?

    • If yours is the international variant it should. Korean models need to use the circle case or alternatively buy the Qi back cover.

  • "provides convenient charging without the mess of tangled charging cables", so the charger doesnt use cable? lol

  • bought the same one in may off aliexpress for US$5.45 delivered

  • And don't forget the eBay 15% off birthday deal tomorrow.. I'm thinking of waiting for this and grabbing an eBay one.

    Normal price. How is this a deal?

    Bought one in the 20% off sales for my Galaxy S5 with the receiver.

    Quite specific where the phone needs to be - probably less than +/- 1cm in both directions after adding a fairly thin rubber case. Definitely better with the case removed.

    Now seems to keep waking the phone up at 100% - acting like if it is plugged/unplugged over and over.

    Wouldn't necessarily recommend but it's slightly easier than the S5's waterproof USB connector which is a pain in the proverbial.

  • Guys I found two type of QI charging pad on eBay, one is large square and one is smaller round type. Which one better? I'm using note two so I will need receiver as well, will this receiver works if I use generic wallet type case (fake leather type)?

    • +1

      I think this XDA thread might have the answer you're looking for!

  • if you looking to get receiver aswell (non nexus owner) beware some receiver on ebay has 500ma, some has 1000ma
