  • How do you book? Do you select 2 adult and it will automatically adjust the price?

    • yes, one will pay the advertised price, the other pays nothing

You got 2x return fares (Melb GC) for $25? And you didn't post the deal?

        • @tightarse: holy crap! I'm with @Tightarse. Man, you should of posted it here. was it $25 each way for each person? meaning $50pp, or $25 all up?

@tightarse: based on this comment he used the $100 vouchers. Wouldn't be a deal.

Might want to add the T & C

Pretty sure they can't dustinguish between debit/credit MasterCards. No fees on 28 Degrees credit card in my experience.

Just booked mine, using a mastercard and my servicing fee's seem to have included the $8.50? as the only thing I got was allocated seating which was about $27

        • seem to have included the $8.50

Did you use an Australian Issued Mastercard Debit card?

          @tightarse:
Oops, yeah called Tiger then and noticed that there was another option in the drop down box for "Aus issued", they're happily refunding my booking fee though :)

    • Nope.

      • Not sure why you got negged - Jetstar refused to price match for the last 2-for-1 promotion.

Hi, thanks for the info. Sorry about that. I will watch out next time.

  • BNE-SYD 3 march TT387 $49 for 1 adult / $55 for 2 …funny that!
    SYD-BNE 16march TT368 $65 for 1 adult / $55 for 2 …2 is cheaper than 1!

      Surely you're not complaining? :)

      • Nope! $27.50/flight….not much more than the train to the airport!

        • +1

Nice prices, eh? Enjoy your flight.

Even if you're flying single, just book 2 seats, and stretch out

Some great low fares in there! good work TA

After those $100 vouchers I still have i'll be paying $10 for 2 return flights for two people, MEL - SYD & MEL - OOL hahaha hell yeah!

    • Are those vouchers stackable?

      • +1

        yes

    • +2

Those were gorgeous vouchers.. I did the same trip for $25.

Tip: once you only pay $2.50 return, everything else will seem super expensive in comparison.

For example, the SkyBus at the airport is a ludicrous $18 to the CBD. Instead, get the 901 to Broadmeadows train station (Craigieburn line) then the train into the CBD. You can buy a myki visitor pack for $14 from the SkyBus booth or you can buy the card from the bus driver and load as much as you like on there.

  • Nice one TA…….Just what I was wanting. A cheap flight to Melb.

  • Wow. Navigating through Tiger's minefield of optional extras is a bit challenge for us OzBargainers! Make sure you de-select insurance, don't choose prepaid baggage, continue without selecting seats and pay with an Australian Mastercard.

A quick tip - I went and purchased a pre-paid Woolworths Mastercard loaded up with enough cash. It cost me $3.95 for the card but saved me $68 in "service fees". That $8.50 charge adds up when you you are booking 4 pax return.

Also, I'm not sure if its a deliberate glitch or not but the first time I went in, I forgot to unselect baggage and when I went back to do it later the option was not there in the drop down menu. I ended up having to go out completely and rebook to get the option back. Otherwise I would have been hit for another $160!

    • Thanks for the tips.

    • No need to buy a pre-paid MC - everyone with a Qantas Frequent Flyer account was sent one for free in the form of "Qantas Cash".

      • When was that? I didn't get one but have only been a QANTAS ff for about a year.

        • I think it was about 12 months ago. If you Qantas card has a chip then you have the Qantas Cash card.

  • The deal has been extended till Friday midnight
