Whole Chicken 2 for $20 @ Red Rooster Innaloo WA, possibly other stores?

40

Not much more to be said, 2 for $20 on whole roast chicken. May only be store specific, but the advertising material on the drive thru menu suggests it may be a wider promo.

  • Jacks down the road in Woodlands has $8.99 chickens everyday.

  • Lots of places have chickens for or under $10

  • woolies has chickens $8 every tuesday, if you're craving chicken on a tuesday!

  • It SUCKS when they make a deal for people by pressuring you into buying more than you need. I would like 1 for $10 from red rooster but don't need 2. Not everyone has a big family or need 2 whole chickens

    • I think your overestimating how big red rooster chickens are

  • Yep WA wide as far as I know, seen it at 3 stores

  • Local chook shop is 2 for $16. Plus the chooks are bigger.

  • I'm a bit surprised they aren't $10 every day. With Coles and Woolworths everywhere, I thought they'd keep the chicken cost competitive and then make a larger profit on chips and drinks.

  • there are chickens cheaper elsewhere but this is still a good price for red rooster which is about $13 each normally. plus the taste is different to woolies.

  • While being a long-time lurker of 'last-30-minutes-chickens-half-price' discounting at coles/woolies, Red Rooster chickens are HEAPS better than any others (IMO), including Jacks or IGA - and worth the premium asked (disclaimer - time-dependant); plus you can actually get a 'fresh-ish' chicken comparatively (again, disclaimer - depending on purchase time).

I would almost compare this to the MAHA or LaCross Chargers for eneloops (Red Rooster) vs the standard eneloop charger or most other basic ones (Jacks/IGA/Coles/Woolies).

…and lets not segway into a flashlight-type of mode here… you know, multiple flashlights (or, er, BBQ chicken) with varying quality characteristics, but there are definite levels of 'quality'.

At the end of it all (with some exceptions), i believe the OzBargain Community is here to provide us with the best quality/value/price-point available for us to spend our hard-earned clams on…

    …and I have none :(

(but red rooster chicken is gooood!)
