Rarely see schick razors at half price, good deal imo, but may not be available all stores, usually the bigger safeway/woolworths stores stock it, they also have the hydro 5 raiser at roughly 30% off

Did buy a six pack once but the gel stuff on the top of the Razor went really stringy like ?…maybe it was a bad batch. stuck to the 4 pack after that.
Don't think the gel on there likes hot water… just a bit counter-intuitive.

I was never fond of these, got a bunch of OzB freebies when they first came out, my facial hair gets gunked up in them and it's hard to wash them out. Doesn't happen with Gillette Fusion or the Mach 3.
Then again my old flat mate swore by these. I ended up giving him all my said freebies in exchange for beer and just grew a beard for awhile, OzB style.
Same problem with me. I am not going to use these again once I finish my current stock of refill blades.

Gilette is better, but I picked up a pack of these Shick replacements in the 3 blade today as who wants to pay anymore than they have to for disposable razors

Apparently hydro 3 and 5 are interchangable, and 3's would cause less irritation and be just as effective, although their moisturising bar doesn't retract. I think the 3s 6 pack are a lot better value for money as they are also half price and 5 blades is just overkill.
I think these shave a lot smoother than Gillette fusion proglide blades… Downside is the plastic bit at the gel is too thick (so thick they designed a flip open top) and the handle looks and feels cheap (not weighted like Gillette). Hair doesn't get rinsed out easily. The handle rack also looks cheap.
