  • Is it much different from GT5?

    • They have removed B-Spec
Allowed body mods to cars (not sure if that one was in GT5),
Added some futuristic prototype cars specifically designed for GT6.
Graphics are suppose to be a little bit better but I never found a problem with GT5's graphics
GT5 servers have now expired so the only way to play online is to get GT6.

If anything, it's missing quite a few things from GT5. I'm still enjoying this game, but they are really pushing you to make micro-transactions in the game. If you have played any of the previous installments in the GT series, you'd know the standard drill where-by finishing a series of races or a championship earns you a prize car, where as in GT6, you only get a prize car for finishing 50% and 100% of a group of races (they are categorized into (B, A, IB, IA and super licence) meaning a total of 10 cars… The rest you need to buy with the minimal sum of credits you win, or the option they want you to take, buy in-game credits with real money!

The random online races that changed every couple of months are now gone, used car dealership is gone, and so are the bargain online car sales (can't remember the exact name). Lobby system seems a LITTLE better than GT5, but online support is finished in that anyway.

There are minimal new cars (from 2012-2014) added from GT5 as well. Perhaps 20-30?

It's probably worth the $28.00, but not much more.

      Hope that helps.

        Thanks. Very helps a lot.

I hate how games are going pay to play… I just want to pay my $28 and thats it.. ;)

        • Agreed, pay to win/play and dlc that unlocks what should be core features is destroying the experience. I guess enough people are paying as they keep rolling it out in games.

    • Probably the biggest difference between 5 and 6 is that you can play 6 online…!

There are more tracks and cars in 6.

Wish they'd make Gran Turismo 2 Remastered.

    • I'd be happy with either 2 or 3 :)
