You should put in the description that this is a Reserves game and not a senior game…

Collingwood have all their senior players injured…

    • GWS are also suffering from injuries. Patton and Cameron are both major goal scorers. Ward, Whitfield, Coniglio, and Scully are out for the rest of season and definitely missed. Phil Davis is a question mark and faces tests after concussion last week. Should be an interesting game!

The NEAFL game beforehand should be interesting, UWS Giants are second on the ladder.

      • I said senior players

  • For those supporters not in Sydney and who don't have Foxfooty…

You can watch the game for free via this deal…

(It's not on free to air this week)

  • Giants members can also get a free ticket for their mates here: http://membership.gwsgiants.com.au/news/read/20/Bring%20a%20Mate%20to%20the%20GIANTS%20v%20Collingwood%20match!

    • Giants members can also get a free ticket

      That explains this…

"Greater Western Sydney technically made a loss on membership of $400,000"

      http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/afl-membership-the-rea…

      • They put a lot of resources into community development and marketing. They do try to give a lot of tickets away, I've seen at least 4 different free offers for this game from vary various orgs and workplaces.

I'm on the now-retired 5 match membership and so is my sister. My parents are both 3 game members. With the number of freebies given away and needing to miss the occasional game for other committments, its not worth us paying for an 8 match membership. It would be good if the scg game was included as an option as well as being able to use our tickets to go watch a game in Canberra.

  • Anyone else having issues getting the tickets? The promo code gets accepted, but there are no options to select the actual tickets :/

What a joke. GWS are so desperate for 'fans' they will literally give tickets away to all and sundry. I'm surprised they even require a ticket for entry.

I'm sure the rest of the AFL is pleased to see their continual subsidising of this money pit.

That's almost exactly word for word what they said about The Melbourne Football Club when it was formed on August 7, 1858…

      • Every competition needs a comedy team… though lately the Dees have been more of a tragedy.

Spotless stadium? Good luck keeping it in that condition after the Collingwood fans get in there….
