  • Wow….25mm lens! Nice price.

  • So is it a grey market import or not?

    • I assume not .
      - 1 Year warranty in Australia.

      • Problem is the descriptions ShoppingSquare have chosen - "Australian warranty" and "Australian stock" - are the preferred way grey importers refer to their products. It's a pain to tell just what stores are selling nowadays.

  • +1

Shopbot provides a better price reference, starting from $465.55.

    • the 1st 5 sellers on this list are selling the camera excluding GST. and direct shipping from oversea with $40-$80 shipping. most them are providing only 30day or shorter warranty period. Some even don't have staffs and office in Australia.

based on the list from shopbot, the best deal from Australian store is $514.00 inc GST

      • Thanks for pointing that out. I wonder if that is a fault of Shopbot or if it's stores playing the system (or somehow "all innocent").

I usually don't refer to Shopbot as it is - even less after knowing this.

        • I did discuss with shopbot about this issue (oversea sellers in shopbot AU). But it seem they do not care about that.

so far, it's full of oversea sellers listed in the Digital camera and mobile phone session of Shopbot AU

  • Postage $19.95 is not a bargain!!!

  • The cheapest you will find this advertised in any retail store is $600. JB Hi-Fi is currently selling this for $688. Apus has this for $589 + postage. I bought mine two months ago for $580 (price matched to an online store from Officeworks, who no longer sell it).

Those sub-$600 cameras are actually ZS3's - the exact same camera rebranded for the US market and with no Panasonic Australia warranty. (Though I would wager the money you save is worth the risk, especially if they give you a warranty of their own.

So if this really is a TZ7 (Australian stock) I would say this is a not a great deal but a brilliant deal.

The camera is a highly acclaimed market leader in the compact, wide angle and travel zoom range ('TZ'). Can't go wrong at this price.

  • This is a pretty good price. I would have bought it if I had not bought the Samsung WB550 from citiwide online (A$413 DHL shipped). The Samsung lens is also 24-240mm and the good thing is all Samsung has international warranty that means wherever you buy the camera, it's always under "local warranty". That said, if it's this price I would buy the TZ7 here.

    Hi All

I am a new member. I have been following OZ Bargain for a while now.

    I used this deal today.

Contrary to Jesmond's understanding OW is still selling it.

Got mine for $455, after price match, because they had to include the shipping costs for the price match. Original price at OW is $627. Going to go overseas, so with TRS I will get the GST back. So it is going to be less than $414 after GST refund. A saving of cool $213, with the best possible features you can get for a travellers camera. It comes with one year international warranty from Panasonic.

Thanks OB community. I appreciate it.

Note: Got it at Chadstone store. Preston and Richmond stores had stock too.
