in saying that this deal isn't for everyone, but please take some time and view the other items we have on our site you may find something that appeals more to you,

      have an awesome afternoon !

        Your link isn't to ebay…

I'm comparing to your normal price on your website…

we feel its a pretty good deal.

I didn't say it wasn't, just posting information about the price for other Ozbargainers…

Optima Yellow Top Batteries are designed to take abuse

It seems like a logical choice for you.

  • Great price on the D31A even before considering the free delivery.

  • these are $310 at my local battery world, so this is a great price…

  • Are these Mexican made nowadays?

  • These batteries are friggin great.
I spent $350 on a yellow-top in 2003 and it lasted until 2010, the only reason it died in 2010 was due to a car accident which damaged it.

    Edit:
Looking at some reviews on the web, it seems the quality of these batteries ain't what she used to be

  • Great price with delivery. How long is the sale on?

Rep can you please confirm where stock is being sourced from as there are multiple importers of Optima in Australia

        • +2

          Hi,

these are locally sourced batteries from a optima authorized agent / distributor, and are backed by a full 36 month warranty.

im not sure what else i can tell you about these items as that is all the information we have on hand.

          many thanks.

          SCE

        • @Supercheapeverything:

Essentially are these coming directly from Optima in Melbourne or other sources as this will effect any future warranty claims.

    • +1

Yep, back to $253 after that so get in fast.

      • Hi,

actually after this promotion we will be aligning our prices with our eBay pricing $262 ( not a huge increase but a good deal is a good deal)

thank you for your comment and have a great day !

        JP

  • Its a little too wide for my CRV darn it :-(

  • Ive never understood why these are so good as they are only 55a/h. Why should I get this rather than a 120a/h deep cycle battery for ~$200 if I'm using to run fridge and lighting while camping?

    • they can be discharged to zero and bounce back fully

deep cycle most likely wont despite what they say

      • to zero? are you sure? i thought i read that even these have a min voltage you needed to cut them off at?

        • +2

100% flat is 10.5v, not zero volts.

Also, many chargers will have trouble charging batteries at lower than that.

  • Good price for the D34.

I bought the D35 for my WRX (with the terminals on the opposite sides) with 100 CCA less for about $20 more and I thought that was a good price: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/281199785140

Rep, can you get the red tops or is this all you will sell for now? I'm interested in buying one for my other car.

    • HI Ezarc,

sorry at the moment we are expanding our battery range but have not got there just yet if you want please PM us your email address and i we can email you once they are in if you are still interested.

many thanks, and have great day

      JP

  • Hi Rep, have you got batteries for Euro cars?

  • Call me cynical, but a company selling car parts called "super cheap" would normally be associated with Supercheap auto. Is this you? Because there is no identification on your website like an abn.
Have you been trading long? You say your logo is a registered trademark and owned by Super Cheap everything pty ltd, but my quick check did not show any registration in that name and to be honest, I doubt you would ever get that name through.

So are you associated with Super Cheap Auto, and if not, who are you, where are you and how long have you been trading?

    • Valid points and smart thinking skyva.

SuperCheap Everything/Audio is not related to SuperCheap Auto.

Some of the Rep replies are signed "JP from super cheap everything". Which, through the magic of Google, seems to be Justin P - a Sydney-based business development manager for the Australian division of a large automotive audio/entertainment systems manufacturer.

If so, it would make sense that he might wish to keep his "good deals" business activites at arms length from his work in this role.

In the July deal, he signed "JP from super cheap audio", and SuperCheap Audio is a registered company for the past 2 years:

      SUPERCHEAP AUDIO PTY LTD
      ABN: 62 158 431 120
      ACN: 158 431 120

It may be that he is in a slow process of growing beyond "audio" into "everything", however that doesn't excuse the sloppiness of stating a nonexistent Pty Ltd.

What makes this 'not a scam site like the kind that A3Australia discovers' is that there's an active 99.9% feedback eBay account that also uses "Super Cheap Audio" and "Super Cheap Everything" interchangeably and links back to the website.

supercheapaudioptyltd has 4454 positives, 14 neutrals, and 4 negatives in the past 12 months.

Here's the Optima D34 on eBay

So there is certainly sloppiness with the business name and identity confusion, which now highlighted isn't going to do them any favours here, but then they aren't the only business here guilty in that department and they do generate good feedback.

Plus you can pay using PayPal on their website and eBay, so there's PP Buyer Protection for what it's worth.

we have a great turn around time on our shipping also usually once purchased they are out the door and delivered the next day (you can see that from our ebay feedback)

        have a fantastic morning !

JP From Super Cheap Audio / Super Cheap Everything

        • Ok, an easy one: what's the ABN or ACN of "Super Cheap Everything Pty Limited" ?

And trying to work out if the misidentification on your website is something we should be concerned about isn't stalking, it's basic due diligence. Thankfully you leave muddy footprints all across the web.

        • My concern about dealing with an Australian company called Super Cheap Everything who sell car and audio equipment is that this would be almost certainly an infringement of Super Cheap Auto's registered trademarks. And I guess they and their lawyers treat that very seriously.

Once Super Cheap Auto finds out you are trading under this name in relation to car parts I suspect you will fold up pretty quickly in the face of demonic Godzilla-like lawyers who will cause you no end of grief and cost, thus potentially causing problems for customers who ordered and expect warranty. A 3 yr warranty is not much good if you stop trading tomorrow.

It is a shame but if Super Cheap Auto see this, they will most likely close down your non ebay and ebay store, destroying a lot of hard work.

I have no problem with your business model, just do it properly:
          1. immediately find a name that is not deceptively similar to someone selling exactly the same stuff
          2. give us details of who you are, including ABN.

        • @Thrift:
Better still trying finding an actual company by that name. I had a look on ASIC register. I could not find a company Super Cheap Everything Pty Ltd. Further I could not find a registered trading name Super Cheap Everything, however I could find Supercheap Audio Pty Ltd. But I see no legal entity for Super Cheap Everything.

    Hi,

my goodness, such a lot of fuss:

super cheap everything is our trading name our registered business name is

    SUPERCHEAP AUDIO PTY LTD
    ABN: 62 158 431 120
    ACN: 158 431 120

as for any Godzilla-like law suit we have registered our name and our logos and have have not been questioned thus far.

i will speak to our marketing staff about the issues that you have raised but beyond that if you would like to purchase from us feel free to, if you are concerned please contact us.

Thank you for your posts and have a great day !

    SCE

    • my goodness, such a lot of fuss:

There are lots of dodgy scammers out there on the Internet.

Your website misleads people into thinking they are dealing with the registered company "Super Cheap Everything Pty Ltd", but it's not a registered company, nor even a registered business/trading name.

You might not be fussed about breaking the law ("Business Names Registration Act 2011, 18 Offence—carrying on a business under an unregistered business name" and failing to display ACN or ABN on your online store), but why would you want to raise those red-flags at potential customers?

Your Privacy Policy, Terms and Conditions, and Warranty Statement are all worthless because "Super Cheap Everything" is not an entity.

as for any Godzilla-like law suit we have registered our name and our logos and have have not been questioned thus far.

If you think you have registered trademarks, you better investigate it further. There's no sign of them in the Australia Trademark database. The only thing you've registered is "Supercheap Audio Pty Ltd".

When a potential customer checks "Super Cheap Everything Pty Ltd" and finds it's not a company, it looks dodgy. It takes a bit of legwork to be sure you aren't a scammer. You have an obligation to let customers know who they are dealing with, that's the purpose of registered business names and ABN/ACNs.

And it's not hard to clear up, be lawful, and act professional. Register the business name, remove all the "Pty Ltd" from "Super Cheap Everything", and pop "SuperCheap Audio Pty Ltd t/a Super Cheap Everything, ABN 62 158 431 120" in the page footers.

You've got great prices, you've done a fantastic job on your eBay -it's just a pity your website lets you down.
