doesn't that make it $439 + $50 store credit? if so title is misleading

This. No way would I pay $50 for a GG gift card.

EDIT: Still seems like one of the best prices for Aus stock anyway so good deal

Exactly. Same as the TGG Canon 100D deal posted yesterday

You can't apply the store credit to the purchase, so it cannot reduce the purchase price.

The price is $430 after cash-back with a 3-month $50 store credit to use at a later date on another purchase.

Valid Claims will be issued the applicable The Good Guys Store Credit (“Store Credit”) in form of a store credit e-voucher to their nominated email address by no later than 22/09/14; the Store Credit will be valid until 22/11/14. Not valid for purchases under $20. Limit one claim per transaction and per email address/household.

The title should be: "Canon G16 $430 after cashback plus bonus $50 store credit from The Good Guys"

And the description should state the purchase price is $480 during "Block Attack" times:
      Tuesday 12th August 7pm - 7am AEST
      Wednesday 13th August 7pm - 7am AEST
      Thursday 14th August 7pm - 7am AEST

Outside those times, the purchase price (going by OP's title price) is probably $489.

You can get an AU-stock Canon G16 less than $480 from Ryda, videopro, Fotoriesel, Georges, so this is only a deal when you factor in the $50 TGG store credit. (Ryda's website will also offer a $10 discount after viewing their website multiple times.)

  • Thanks

  • apologies all, i was just putting the final cost to the customer. if you don't think that you can get 50$ value out of a 50$ TGG gift card, well, that's fair enough I guess.

    • Nothing wrong with the deal, but the final cost is still $430 as you cannot apply the bonus voucher to buy the camera. It's $430 with $50 off your next purchase within 3 months.
