$1.99 Pearl Earrings - Normally $39 - FREE Shipping @ Ice Online (via eBay)

455

These have been selling like crazy! Only 100 left!

For a limited time, get a pair of pearl earrings for $1.99 (Normally $39).

Has been featured several times in eBay's deals, but never at this price.

To people who want to buy the $1 silver plated earrings from China:

Silver plated earrings can be plated over any metal, most commonly nickel, which a lot of people are allergic to.

Our earrings are stainless steel which are hypo-allergenic. You cannot get an allergy from stainless steel, therefore are a much superior metal to put in your ear, thus the price difference.

Most jewellers won't carry silver plated for that very reason because they don't want to risk their customers getting an allergy. Go to the markets or buy from the guy in China on eBay if you want silver plated.

    • +1

      Wow, much amaze

  • +3

    Coated plastic?

    • +1

Freshwater pearls , according to the listing.

Have heard it said that if you rub them against your teeth, plastic will feel smooth whereas natural pearls have a gritty feel. Gonna try it with these ones when they arrive.

      • +2

Better to rub 2 pearls together. Same test (if they slide smoothly they are plastic. Real pearls will grind.)

Don't want to risk damaging your teeth.

At $2 they are quite cheap, but they'll only be cultivated pearls and not worth much more than that.

  • +13

I fail to see the deal..
    $1 normally

    • +1

      Nooooooo…..got ripped off…..again……

      • Nooooo…. you didnt. Read below.

Thanks OP, I bought two sets for my nieces.

        • +1

          Happy again :)

    • +7

Good find. $1 junk and fake normal price. no deal at all.

    • Different item location.

    • +1

i thought it was a good price. Then I scrolled down and now I think it's overpriced. Oh ozbargain…

    • +1

This one is stainless steel post though, which would be suitable for people will sensitive ears.
The korean one you linked is silver plated, which could make some peoples ears go gross!
Definitely not worth the full price though.

    • You can link cheap, albeit different earrings (the images/designs are different), but does that prove that the ones here are fake? Can anyone back it up?

    • +1

      @CPHO

      Not the same item.

Stainless steel is completely different to silver plated backing… and silver plated crap will probably infect your pierced ear holes, and stainless less likely to do so.

    • +1

Silver plated earrings can be plated over any metal, most commonly nickel, which a lot of people are allergic to.

Stainless steel are hypo-allergenic. You cannot get an allergy from stainless steel, therefore are a much superior metal to put in your ear, thus the price difference.

Even watches are on stainless steel because you won't get an allergy from them.

  • +4

Normally $39? Do you get many sales with that price?

I'd be very shocked to see you sell that on eBay with that price… (Refer to the $1 normal price on eBay)

  • +3

Fake pearls, and overpriced originally to falsely make it a bargain?

    • Fake pearls? How so?

Because fake pearls are made of plastic. These are freshwater pearls. Yes humans have cultured them (instead of wild sea pearls), but that doesnt mean they are fake.

  • +3

There is nothing wrong with the OP's earings.. I bought 2 sets for my nieces.

Stainless steel backing (not silver plated like the cheaper crap linked in one of the posts above), and real pearls (yes they arent sea pearls, but they arent plastic either).

People negging obviously no very little about what they are negging in first place.

Go get a fair comparison on stainless steel backed natural freshwater pearls and then link here for cheaper (goodluck). Then you can neg…. because right now you are being unfair to the OP, comparing this product to inferior ebay crap.

    • +1

Not sure why I'm getting negs.

People need to go into any jewelry store and price some pearl earrings for themselves. The last 2 jewelry shops I went into had freshwater pearl earrings selling for $50+.

Lemming neg voters need to have their voting rights suspended.

Fake normal price , $1 is the real price

  • Over 900 sold. Power of Ozbargain!!!!!!!

    • lol 100 left my ass.

  • They used to be free, but alas one cannot go back in time. And if I could, it wouldn't be to save a couple of bucks.

    http://www.myfreesamplesaustralia.com/get-free-water-button-…

    Still a good deal though.

  • +3

I've bought the pearl earrings before and they fell apart very quickly.

    Avoid.

    • I was about to ask if anyone could really tell the difference. (without removing them from the ear).

    • @EPICSALETIME

      From the OP?

      • +1

        Yep.

  • +4

My wife will probably throw away the earrings, but they came in a nice cloth bag I'll be keeping that's perfect for carrying D&D dice :p

  • I didnt expect much but they look fine to me for the price, why anyone bothers to neg a $2 deal?
