This is for a Steam code and contains all the DLCs. I think this is the lowest the game has been. It is also eligible for Playfire rewards until the end of Thursday if you have time to spare.

Edit: The deal has expired. I myself have installed and tried the game. As mentioned, the game is very demanding, but disabling PhysX can triple the fps is some areas, like the battle during the benchmark, or the starting base. The unskippable intro logo is annoying, and if you are sensitive to motion sickness, beware: Metro LL has a low FOV (you can up it in a text file), motion blur when looking around (you can only reduce and not disable it) and head bob. Metro LL is as bad as Dead Island.

This is a great game. I also suggest playing the STALKER series as well (Shadow of Chernobyl, skip Clear Sky, Call of Pripyat) if you like open world exploration, side quests and Deus-ex style gameplay.

    • I've had the STALKER games sitting in my Steam library for a while untouched due to a wallet infection of Steam Sale-itus.

You have convinced me to finally install them and give them a go.

      • The first and third are great… Clear Sky was OK, but very broken, eg game-breaking bugs that make you replay HOURS of the game… but yeah, definitely play 1 and 3!

      • The game looks very ugly without mods but if you have a beasty computer (at least Core i5 and better than 7850) I recommend this mod pack.

    • This game isnt not open world

  • yes, great game, finished it, the gfx is top notch but i found it a bit easy but still, what a ride

never knew it had 4 dlc

    will have a look

    • If you play the Library-relics DLC note that it doesn't autosave! You have to go approach a door in the main area, not very obvious :)

  • Playfire rewards means I actually have to play the game and earn specific achievements?

Before you bite the bullet, also remember that Metro Redux (a remastered bundle of the first and second) comes out later this month:

    http://www.polygon.com/2014/6/24/5838146/metro-redux-release…

"Both Metro 2033 and Last Light will look better in Redux than they did in their original incarnations, but 4A also went back and improved the way they play. Additions include oft-requested features such as the ability to check your watch and inventory, and the studio took some features that appeared in Last Light and incorporated them into the remaster of Metro 2033. Deep Silver told Polygon during E3 2014 that this experience will help 4A in developing future projects on the new consoles."

You do know that owning the originals in Steam actually give you 50% off the Redux (if pre ordered)…

Aaaand… Last Light isn't really getting any visual upgrades. It's 2033, the original, which has been ported to the Last Light engine.

Coming on August 30, available individually also.

Hugely underrated games. Awesome buying at this price. I was happy at full (if you like FPS)

  • Note: This product requires a third-party download and account

^ what download manager do u need to install?

Just above where it says that, it says Steamworks.

      You need Steam.

      • Thanks ledge, purchasing now!! (just getting back into gaming and like the keep it simple stupid principle).

      • Yay that was easy!!

Bought it at the same price as I bought 2033 for, nice.

Although it'll probably be 2033 by the time I get around to playing this.

And spend $2033 on PC parts before you can play it on high settings with a decent frame rate.

Seriously, this and Crysis 3 bring my machine to it's knees and it's not half bad. 4670k (stock speed for now), 16gb DDR3 and 6970 2GB.

It's OK on medium settings though.

      • Yeah, 2033 was tough for my machine.

    EXPIRED.

    • yeah, i have impeccable timing too
