I don't quite understand these AMEX deals. They have to be a card that you've received directly from AMEX, right? So my NAB Platinum AMEX isn't eligible?

  more often than not they offer it to amex cardholders first then it becomes more widely available if you look at the past deals on OZB…

  Yep. These are for Amex direct issued cards. For bank issued Amex, log into amexconnect to see offers available to your card

  Yeah it seems that it can't be via another Financial institution.
  I can get these through my Engineers Professional Association sponsored card (accessed via americanexpress.com.au site), but I can't add my CBA Amex issued card.
