  • Myer Spend $150 get $15 back

Maybe you left a zero off ;)

      Oops. Fixed. Thanks!

  • Can you use it for gift cards on MS online?

    • T&Cs usually exclude GCs but typically with Amex cashback, it will track. Maybe check some prior threads (there have been several MS Amex offers in the past) to see peoples’ experiences).

      • They blocked my purchase of gift cards and Microsoft support are pretty useless

        • Amex blocked your purchase of gift cards? I keep getting an error on Microsoft website to complete the transaction.

          • @emiii: Microsoft did. Then their support was hopeless. Ended up getting a HP Lunar Lake laptop from HN

            • +1

@auskeek: Omg, I agree. Microsoft support is useless. I have to wait 24 to 72 hours to see if they can fix it so I can purchase gift cards. It shouldn't be this difficult to purchase gift cards online.

              • @emiii: They say that and then you won't hear back and then you chat to someone else after and they tell you it didn't get escalated and then the process repeats

                • @sewingstuff: I was just advised to buy $100 gift card one by one till the issue is resolved

          • @emiii: Hi mate, unable to pm you.. did you end up buying gift cards from MS ?

            • @SydOzber: I was able to purchase 5x$100 gift cards one day. Then no luck after that. I followed up with support for over a week and they couldn't resolve the gift card issue.

    • I just used this offer; spent $192 with ms account balance and $808 on amex. I'm assuming it will go through as amex don't know I spent using my MS account balance

    • currently you cannot add $800 worth of gift cards to the cart even though chat tells you that you should be able to. It also won't let you pay and comes up with an error

The only way to purchase $800 worth of gift cards is to add 8X $100 gift cards

      Is that correct?

  • I have 2 x Kogan $10 on same CC. I activated a bit more week ago.

Does anyone know if you can use two amex cards on the Microsoft online store?

    • hi there, did you manage to use 2 amex cards on the online store? THank you

      • Also wondering. It says you can get the $200 for $800 spend twice. And $800 is in one or more transactions. I’m wondering if $1600+ spent will give 2x$200…

        • If we can do it in one transaction (spend $1600+) and get $400 back, that would save a lot of hassle. I haven't been able to purchase the gift cards.

The Microsoft store only allows the use of one credit card per transaction but you can use as up to $1,500 worth of gift cards as secondary payment.

          Have you tried?

          • @emiii: When you say you can use up to $1,500 worth of gift cards as secondary payment, what about existing account balance?
Let's say you've added $2000 worth of gift cards into your account balance. Can you use the full $2000 as secondary payment?
            Thanks.

I've check with Amex chat. Need to make two separate transactions of $800 or more to get $400 cashback.

          • @emiii: That’s not true. You should receive $400 credit as long as you spend $1600. Doesn’t matter if it’s in one transaction or multiple transactions.

I’m saying this based on my experience with AMEX offers from the last 8+ years

            • +1

@SydOzber: This is my experience too, but I’m just wondering why there’s so much hesitation on here.

            • @SydOzber: Yeah, the other Amex support staff confirmed this. Too bad Microsoft has issues with selling their gift cards. So frustrating.

  • So a Cole Group Giftcard at Myer?

    • Can we actually redeem the credit by purchasing a Coles Group Giftcard at Myer?

      • I have in the past.

  • anyone been able to use this with microsoft somehow with gift cards etc to gain 2 x $200 for a $1600+ purchase?

    • Yes, I managed to do it before their gift card system broke. $400 off Surface Pro X & Keyboard and pen with their Black Friday sale.

Posting my experience for anyone interested.

Talked to AMEX chat before purchasing and they said I could do the 1.6k purchase in a single transaction so I gave it a shot (kept a transcript just in case of issue).

Few days later the full $400 was returned so looks like it can be done in a single transaction.

  • “Are there any limits to the amount of gift card value that can be spent per day?
Yes, you can redeem gift cards to your Microsoft account of up to a total of AUD $1520.00 on any given day.”

Does this mean that the limit to redeem GCs into your account is $1520 per day, and if you have $1600 worth of gift cards you can just do it over 2 days? Can anyone confirm this?

Also if you wanted to buy a $3000 laptop and use another CC for the remaining balance, does it work like Apple where you apply $1600 worth of account balance and pay $1400 with your CC of choice?

    Thank you!

  • Fingers crossed there's some half decent boxing day deals to use the MS offer on.
