Tabaret Rewards Card - Buy One Meal, Get One Free - at Participating Hotels (with a Tabaret) VIC

90

Here’s a heads up on a great way to get discounts on meals at pubs linked with a Tabaret. Buy 1, get 1 free (for equal value) Tabaret appears to be Victoria only.

Yesterday I booked for my family to eat at the Waltzing Matilda Hotel (Vic). I noticed a promotion that you can get one meal free with the purchase of another meal (up to the same value) with the presentation of your Tabaret Rewards card. So, of course, I asked how you become a member. You simply fill in a form with your details, they give you a card, you show it when ordering your meal and Hey Presto - one free meal. The card costs you nothing (you can even fill in fake details if you're worried about marketing - they just hand over the card at the pub without checking). I filled in the form at the hotel - I only found the link later when checking it out for Ozbargainers.

Note, this is a proper full menu bistro meal - it is NOT pub food in the Tabaret only.

This seems to be a Tabaret promotion. Link is http://www.tabaret.com.au/tabaretrewards.html

I imagine there would be a number of hotels with the same rewards program (Aust Wide?).

Worth a looking at. For the record, I had a Chicken Parma - the wife had a seafood basket, total bill $20!

MODS - I also posted this on the general discussion board but it was suggested it's better served here - can you delete the general discussion board entry? Thanks.

Good pick-up, especially approaching the week-end, with LOTS of options in Vic! Any idea of expiry date?

  • The card doesn't have an expiry date on it. I'm guessing, but I think the card will be used for various promotions. The Waltzing Matilda Hotel had posters up, that's how I found out about it. I'm pretty sure the posters didn't say anything about an expiry (certainly not "August Special" or anything like that). I guess I'll just keep using it until they tell me that promotion doesn't work any more.

Shame if it's only Vic - good research OzPete.

Thanks Rodzy for suggesting the main board for the posting.
