They also have the RX-V675 for $512 delivered here http://www.amazon.it/dp/B00BLWA0SS

Ohh boy… This would probably match well with my Q7000 speakers, but the treasurer would say no at the moment.

    • I feel your pain brother….. :(

  • So whats the go with ordering from Italy? lol seems like a long way away.

      Price I'd imagine.

      • Also possibly warranty conditions.

        • I bought an Onkyo from Amazon.it a couple years back. Cant fault them at all but I would assume for warranty I would have to send it back there. Arrived in about 7 days IIRC

        • Similar for me too… Bought a Yamaha, no issues… Much cheaper than anywhere else too…

Bought 2 months ago for $950 from eastwood hifi… bah. At least my cash is supporting the local boys I guess!

I bought the RX-V773 from amazon.it a couple of years ago. Was shipped out from Germany via DHL and arrived within 1 week… Great product and price.

    • It's fortunate that you didn't have to seek warranty. I can't see Yamaha having international warranty on these.

Yep just confirmed that Yamaha does not have international warranty on AV receivers. Would be a pain having to send it all the way back to Amazon Italy for warranty.

      • Amazon have always been good for warranty for me, have always covered return shipping.

Comment here from a while ago on the same item says the same thing https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/117299#comment-1605784

        • Yeah i'm mostly talking about the multiple weeks you'll be without an AV receiver while it's getting shipped off to overseas and then back.

        • Spooky… my replacement unit is going strong, with almost 2 years daily usage..

The faulty one got returned to me (rejected by Amazon, even tho they reimbursed me hundreds of dollars shipping) to send the thing over there. So I still have 1 dead unit.

Yes, no doubt it is a risk you need to consider especially with bulky items like this. On the plus side, Amazon are particularly good with warranty and international freight rates, and Yamaha have excellent reliability in AV receivers… so I took the risk and have had not problems, but of course some will be unlucky.

  • How do you get around the shipping issue?

'We're sorry. This item can not be shipped to your selected destination. You may change your shipping address or delete the item from your order by changing the amount to bring it to 0 or clicking the Update button at the bottom.'

    EDIT: Never mind, sorted.

    RX-V675 is 529 delivered not 512.

    Great prices for both!

  • good receiver definitely. no wifi it seems

    • Think you can get the YMA10 wifi adapter tho for it….arrgh. Missus aint gonna be happy tho! :)

  • Anyone that is interested I just found this - http://www.excelhifi.com.au/yamaha-htr-6066b-rx-v675-refurbiā€¦

Seems to be on clearance for $549 free delivery, plus they include free Yammy wifi unit. I think refurb units also have some legit Yammy warranty included.

I reckon better option than risking overseas. Just purchased.

    • gimme an overseas new item over a refurb anyday. but that's just me…

      • Comes with 1yr Yamaha local warranty.

        Refurb is fine.

        Local warranty will win everytime.

But that's just good logic (and me)

        • hows your statutory warranty going on your refurb items?
also IMHO there is less of a chance of a new item needing to go back again…

  • Presumably the power plug isn't for Australia? How do you get around that?

    • Italy is still 240 volts, just buy a 2 dollar adaptor, or use one of the 100 you should have lying around from buying items from OZbargain that come from china!

      • Will do. Those things are always such a terrible fit though! ;-)

I was hoping it was a detachable power lead but it doesn't look like it going by the product image.
