Very niche JRPG series. Good deal for anyone interested in all 3 games together. Ps note these are not the plus versions of the game but original versions so any extras in new versions will not be there.
There have been good deals on Totori before but have not seen many for Meruru. The games included are
Atelier Rorona: The Alchemist of Arland - first entry for Arland released 2010
Atelier Totori: The Adventurer of Arland - second entry released 2011
Atelier Meruru: The Apprentice of Arland - third and final Atelier game set within the Arland world. released 2012

good price for New copies of it.
Purchased 2,3 at ~#16 each and 1 for $18 all used in decent condtion as I didn't expect to ever see them below that.
And then Jb Hifi had 2,3 and Disgaea 4 at $15 brand new and factory sealed as NIS printed more or released more to JB. at 14.92 AUD each this is pretty good seeing as they're hard to find at this low a price.
Just be aware there is a Physical release of Rorona plus in Australia not sure if physical release of meruru and Totori though.Didnt know JB had Meruru at 15$ as well. Totori also went to 12$ when JB had 20% off games.
Was reading an article about Rorona plus being classified R18+ when Ronona was PG and how that can potentially turn publishers away when the content is not obscene compared to other games.oh yeah forgot about that when Meruru was at $12 too.
Yeah thought it was interesting it got R18+ as well haven't read why but obvi Echhi in there some where.
Yeah well in terms of problems NISA isn't afraid of Echhi at all just look at Neptunia MK2 and MugenSouls Z not an issue at all hah. Haven't really played any of these all the way through so can't exactly state whether they went over board or not but at least they can be published here. No, there wasn't any dodgy content, it was just another weird case of the board losing their minds and getting confused by the new R rating. See Beyond Two Souls and the original Fable for more arbitrary R ratings.
Because they are the gaming board and they are retarded.
I played through the whole of Meruru and there is nothing in there that warrants anything close to that rating.Bureaucrats + no competition + Guaranteed income = no motivation to work harder apart from occasional media backlash. Australian Gamers had to actually fight them for a better part of a decade just for the 18+ label in games. The quality of their 'work' is UTTERLY shit. They would sink within a week if their business had to operate in a private setting.
Cheers for the info. I did notice I think #2 at Jb Hi Fi for $15 new. I'm looking to get them all might try my local JB 2mrw or snap up the play asia deal
No problem bear in mind you may find 2,3 at jb at $15 but to my knowledge you won't find original version 1 anywhere cheaply.
No problems thanks. Any ideas which order to play them in? I did some research and found 5 of the games. I think I have gamers OCD
Atelier Rorona: The Alchemist of Arland
Atelier Totori: The Adventurer of Arland
Atelier Meruru: The Apprentice of Arland
Atelier Ayesha: The Alchemist of Dusk
Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk SkyThe Atelier games are (mostly) made in trilogies: Rorona/Totori/Meruru, in that order, comprise the Arland series, and Ayesha/Escha/Shallie are part of the Dusk series. Before the PS3 generation you also had Iris, Mana and others. Each sub-series has a different world, continuity and cast. Arland is generally more lighthearted than Dusk, but they're all cute and relaxing with surprisingly-deep gameplay.
It won't hinder your fun if you jump in mid-trilogy, but you'll be missing out on references and a good chunk of character development if you don't start from Rorona or Ayesha. They're character-focused games and part of their appeal is being able to catch up with returning characters in the sequel to see how much or how little they've changed over the years. It's like meeting old friends. You don't need any of that to enjoy the games but why deprive yourself of the full experience? They're all well worth playing with the exception of the original Rorona; replace that with Rorona Plus and you're good to go.
Also, avoid the anime adaptation at all costs.
Even though Atelier Rorona is the beginning of the series, I would not recommend playing the original in this pack. Try to find a deal for the remake called Rorona Plus with updated graphics because the original is now quite bad by today's standard. http://blog.us.playstation.com/2014/06/24/atelier-rorona-plu…
Also you don't have to play them in order, the stories are quite simple and they do not stretch from game to game, characters are also introduced properly.
Just answered my question didn't see this thanks :)
Feels bad now that I got these games at release for like 64 or 69 each, though they were fun at the time.
You may want to edit your title so that the actual price shows up in red, and not only the postage, because people (such as myself) may read this subconsciously as "Atelier Bundle Vol 1 US$11.90 @ Playasia.com" at first glance.
