          uber makes temporary $1 pre-authorisations to verify your account has funds - similar to a hotel placing a hold :)

      You're forced to trial their app, brand name awareness, deal will probably go viral (which it has since it's on ozbargains) and they have more people downloading their app than there are tubs of ice cream. There are probably more subtle advertising benefits.

      Plus Messina probably shoulders part of the costs as they're also featured in this deal.

      It's $20 for a 500ml tub delivered. If you're a new member you get $20 credit, which you can use towards buying ice cream or a ride. It's not rocket science.

    So. Wait until 11am. Sign up. Tell them where you are. Book a car & icecream. Cost is $20. Account has $20 credit in it from signing up. Hope that they will come to the area that I'm in. Stand out the front and collect slightly melted icecream.

    Did I miss anything here? My cold is making this harder to understand than normal. Icecream will fix that.
